kutulu 1,676 Posted April 17, 2009 2.6 Bengals Pretty sure that all 3 Centers won't be on the board at this spot in the real draft. Either way, I'd be happy with any of the three (Unger, Mack or Wood). Took Unger because he's played all 3 positions on the line. Also, pretty good on The Odd Couple. Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted April 17, 2009 Damn. The Packers were salivating seeing Beatty drop to within 2 spots of their pick. In the real draft, if he falls, I wonder if the Pack would consider moving up to snatch him from Jacksonville, Cincy, or whoever else may be looking at OT there. Beatty is long and athletic. He'd fit pretty well in Green Bay if he were the real deal. Grizzly, I hate you and your azz face....no offense of course Good pick.
Grizzly 0 Posted April 17, 2009 At 2.7 the Jags could go alot of different ways Tra Thomas is old and not the final answer. I didn't want to reach for a WR. They also need a DT and Middle LB I don't think their was either their to be taken. I could have gone with Larry English (DE/OLB) but not as a major need either. Perhaps I should have reached for someone, but I think you have to take the best available player. I don't know where the Jags will go in the real draft but I I'm sure they will end up with a WR with one of their first two picks. By taking value with the first pick and WR's going fast here I missed out on drafting a major need for them. I did read an article where the Jags told Gerrard they would not draft a QB with their first pick.
Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted April 17, 2009 I hate to bring this subject up yet again, but Michael Lombardi just came out with his 2nd mock and picks Oher for the Packers but mentions that they love Tyson Jackson. Meanwhile Orakpo drops to Buffalo at 11. Lombardi Mock 9. Green Bay Packers: Michael Oher, OT, Mississippi — The Packers might be tempted to draft Tyson Jackson, whom I hear they love. Oher is a hot commodity in the draft right now. Hard to pass on a legitimate left tackle, although I know they need defense. As I mentioned when picking Orakpo, I was strongly considering both Jackson and Oher at #

Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted April 17, 2009 What is the hurry? This is on pace to get all the way through. I just meant I wanted to get my pick in today if at all possible. I'll be out a lot this weekend. If I can get my pick in today, I wouldn't hold up the draft at all.
WhiteWonder 2,734 Posted April 17, 2009 2 names per poster. First name to be mentioned times is the pick. if you have to make the Raiders pick I say Michael Johnson. No joke, I have seen some mocks projecting Johnson in round 1 to the Raiders because of his freakish athletic ability and Al Davis' track record. While I think those mocks are probably just going for the wow factor, I would think if he were still around in the 2nd the raiders would jump all over him

Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted April 17, 2009 I would have rather gotten Beatty with the Pack's 2nd round pick but I will certainly take a hight potential guy like Gilbert here. Especially with the DE situation currently in Green Bay. There you go Capers and Kevin Greene....there's a DE and a tweener OLB type....go make them stars. Hope there's an OT worth a crap in the 3rd round.
Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted April 17, 2009 listen2me23 is here but not picking for Buffalo. What's the wait for?
WhiteWonder 2,734 Posted April 17, 2009 2.10 Buffalo Bills - Alex Mack Is said to be the best pure Center in the draft. The Peters trade through me off, but I won't reach for a Tackle. They needed help inside all along and I think Mack can come in an start right off the bat. in reality you would also have that 28th pick in round 1 that could be William Beatty with how this mock went. Dan 66 Posted April 18, 2009 Nice pick with Mack. I considered him for the Steelers at 32, but went with what I think is the better talent. If Mack had fallen, it would have been beautiful, but I didn't have my hopes up.

kutulu 1,676 Posted April 20, 2009 did we give him so long because of the weekend? what determines who gets 5 hours to pick and who gets 3 days? I'm kind of loosey goosey with the rules. Also, hellothere sent me an email before we started this saying he's not around much these days...plus we had to make a pick for him in the 1st round and I'd like to put this thing to bed soon. As far as the weekends...the clock is kind of off on the weekends...if picks occur, fine...if they don't it's kind of expected.

Force of Two 0 Posted April 22, 2009 Damn Dude!... Eagles take a corner in the 2nd giving some depth to insure against this whole Sheldon Brown thing. Obviously the pick "we" made at #28 isnt applicable now but we have addressed the OT and RB spot.
