5 Questions for President's Health Care Press Conference

Recommended Posts

I missed the first 15 minutes because only NBC is running this her locally. :music_guitarred:

The first part of that was this is all Bush's fault.

Then it was how every american should have cheap health care, we can do it, this is an emergency situation, I get

letters every day from families asking for help, we can help them. everyone will be covered, etc. no details just

promises that the gov't plan will work miracles, a few wealthy will pay and all will be well.

strike is right, he's just rambling

wow he just said if they stayed with the Bush policies, we'd be further in debt down the road. and only by his actions

he has saved us 2.2trillion over the next 10 years in spending.

who buys this sh|t?!?

Do people actually buy this sh!t?

They sure do. I bet the polls on approval of his healthcare plan go up 5% after tonight.

He could go out there and just say the "my healthcare proposal is good" and walk out and a bunch of morons would eat it up as long as he said it "eloquently"

Thanks. I heard that 2.2 trillion crap. seems like a big leap.

He really gasped like he was frustrated with the bank question. Blame Bush again. He just can not resit saying that.

What is with these complex questions? People want to know the simple stuff. just flat out ask him why abortion is included

in the plan and does he want it there or not, yes or no.

That's one of Obama's classic staged questions for him to end on a lighter note.

In the Gates thread, I was really tempted to ask if Obama would be asked about it tonight. Then I thought they reporters wouldn't be that dumb.

Never underestimate the power of stupidity.

I know everyone hates O'Reilly or whatever but it's pretty funny watching him right now. He and his guests are all just like "We have no idea what just happened. No idea what he said" Still I'm going to guess a....5% jump in the polls for his healthcare plan tomorrow

You do understand that health insurers and physicians/drug companies work together to run tons of unneccessary tests and fill out tons of unneccessary prescriptions in order to line both of thjeir palms, right? That's why health insurance keeps getting higher and higher for the average citizen and doctor/hospital/drug company profits are through the roof, even in a disasterous recession. They are basically righting their own checks. If that's your definition of free-enterprise, then you are truly clueless. And yes, there does need to be restraints on that.

Lessee, your claim is that insurance companies are making obscene profits by paying for unneccessary tests and paying for unneccessary prescriptions. :shocking:

I think I see why you are unemployed.

I'll delve deeper, since you're not too bright.....

Doctors/hosptals/drug companies get their pockets lined by doing all these useless tests and writing unneccessary prescriptions. Insurance companies then raise their rates as a result. They all work as a well-oiled, money-grubbing machine.

The time has come for a change.

You do understand that they do that to cover their azzes from phony BS lawsuits. Have you heard of tort reform before? Guess not.
