Glenn Beck is awesome

Recommended Posts

Yea yea, jon stewart is a liberal hippie who sucks and is a joke blah blah blah etc etc etc. Anyways, on his show, he showed clips of glen beck from jan of 08 where he was blasting our healthcare, calling it a nightmare, a hellhole, hospitals don't care about the average person and even said something along the lines of "getting better in a hospital will kill you."

So how come he was saying we have the greatest health care system in the world.

Not saying the left is any better, because they're all scumbags as well.

I have heard Glenn Beck say that we need reform. Just because folks are against Obama care does not mean they are against any and all reform. In fact, I don't know of anyone who thinks that way. Never heard the right wingers on talk radio suggest that either. Maybe I missed it though.

I did not see this clip you are talking about Stewart played. Did any of Beck's complaints involve Medicare or the VA by any chance??? Just wondering.

watch the clips. what he actually said (15 months ago) was that america had one of the worst health care systems in the world and the system just about killed him...flashforward 15 months and now on fox: america's system is the best in the world!!!!

there's no spinning. his hypocrisy is caught point-blank on video.

the end.

You know what's really messed up.

There are psychos that will analyze the footage that Stewart put on his show .... and figure out where Glen lives. And he'll blame Stewart when .... I better not say anymore.

I mean apparently ... you could just stop traffic with an accident ... and be right across a cement baricade ..... with a Barrett ... .50 Caliber sniper rifle ... and just flood his condo with rounds that would rip through walls ... end his blog from home .... real fast. He's fine with that .... as a concept? Right to bear arms. Someone ... similar to me that has never been convicted of a crime but may be unstable .... if I can afford one ... I should be able to buy a .50 cal sniper rifle? Right?

To be honest ... ever since 9/11 ... I've wanted something ... I might defend my country with .... or shoot a deer with from a mile away. If I had extra money to just blow .... I'd have a .50 cal. Shiat hits the fan .... be a good weapon to have.

Not saying the left is any better, because they're all scumbags as well.

And there in lies the problem. The louder the left gets, the louder the right gets. The louder the right gets, the louder the left gets. Till you can't hear anything being said in the middle.

You see, Stewart is as much a part of the problem as Fox, CNN, MSNBC and the like. He stirs up the left by showing some clip that contradicts a clip of the same person in the past. But both sides do it. Recently Pelospi calls protesters un-American. And in the past said she's a fan of disruptors. It's just a fact that if you are video'd every day, you will eventually contradict yourself. And both sides love to dig these clips up to stir up there side.

And you know why they do it? Money. Stewart makes money by stirring up his fans. Beck makes money by stirring up his fans. Etc etc etc. They're capitalists living off of an American public that gets off by hating the extremism of the other side. They are selling a product. And the public eats it up.

And that is exactly why we have a suckass congress, senate, and president year in and year out. We never get a middle ground congress, a middle ground senate or a middle ground president. We get Bush or Obama. Both suckass in their own rights. Different suckassness, but suckass all the same. All looking for more power, more power, more power. They get that power by pitting one side against the other. The whole system is setup to pit one against another. Not to work together for some common ground. Just keep them seperate so you can gain power.

Try turning off MSNBC, CNN, FOX, Stewart and the like. Stop buying their products, books, and watching their shows. Your life will instantly improve.

Glenn Beck is the only pundit on major stations that I've appreciated at times. Shouldn't ever blanket like someone, adopt their opinion just because it's theirs, but I would have basically said that I like him.

It is possible to be saying a system sucks and think it's still the best in the world. Do highly doubt he was thinking that connected thought 15 months ago or now though. Appreciate this was posted, disappointing but good to know.

It's so ... hardcore biased though. It's mind control. The facts ..... are so far in the favor of the Democrats right now ... Glen Beck is an extremist. Good luck ... I disagree .... I hope nobody kills you .... but I wouldn't be surprised. Because you are ... like limbaugh ..... just a hate monger at this point. A remnant of a political party that is DONE ... my friend.

FACE IT .... YOU LOST!

And you know why they do it? Money. Stewart makes money by stirring up his fans.

And here I thought he made money by making folks laugh while exposing the idiocy of politicians and the freak show that is mass media.

Stewart's an entertainer, and regards himself as such.

I agree with everything else you said. But Stewart is a genius and is anything but a rabble rouser.

at least he admits he's an entertainer and does "fake news." i'd have more respect for beck if he admitted the same.

If you break it all down. They are simply capitalists making millions for what they do. And they do it well.

Well I don't catch his show that much, and most the time what takes my interest is when he's delves into something that's not an issue at the forefront of attention, or when he's discussing things from a philosophical basis. But yeah, this is the first time I've seen him contradict himself like that. I'm going off of just seeing those excerpts, but it really doesn't seem like 15 months ago he would have said, "this sucks, this sucks, though it's the best system in the world..." Like GC was saying, the fact he said that doesn't mean he isn't for reform. But to be saying it's the best in the world so emphatically now is still disingenuous for his point, he ought to be starting off like "well I'm not one to think we have a great system going, but..." What he said is just the thing to say if you're playing camps.

Beck is pretty entertaining. Sometimes he takes it too far, but for them most part I enjoy watching because like Naomi said, he talks about stuff you dont usually hear from the mainstream media. Rush also. Yes he's a douche, but you'll hear about some stories you won't hear anywhere else.

Glenn Beck is awesome...at losing millions of advertising dollars for Fox News.

Some of the nation's biggest advertisers are distancing themselves from Fox News host Glenn Beck after he called President Obama a racist during a July 28 broadcast.

Geico has pulled its ads from Fox News Channel's "The Glenn Beck Program." Lawyers.com, which is owned by LexisNexis, also has vowed not to advertise during the program, according to Color of Change, an African-American online political organization that has been urging advertisers to stop supporting the show.

Additionally, Procter & Gamble, Progressive Insurance and SC Johnson all said their ad placements during the broadcast were made in error and that they would correct the mistake.

The controversy stems from Beck's comment that President Obama is a "racist" with "a deep-seated hatred for white people."

Happy to see that hate-mongering may not get Beck a paycheck much longer.

Look no further than this board - recall the railing against the 3 moderate conservatives that negotiated changes in, then voted for, the stimulus? Radicals on both sides hate the middle ground. Sadly, there are many intellectual lightweights that love to be pandered to - until that ends, we won't see many of those middle-grounders we need to get things done.

Moderate conservatives? That's a bit of stretch to call any of those senators "conservative". Hell, Specter is a focking democrat now. Also, those "republicans" that voted for the stimulus should have been railed against. The stimulus is a hooge failure. Where have you been?

They are moderate conservatives compared to the radicals that hijacked the GOP.

Just like Lieberman couldn't stay in his own party because, as a centrist, he couldn't have won his party's primary. These are the centrists, surfer.

As for the stimulus being a failure, I'll leave it to the economic experts, and history, to make that determination, not a chat board poster.

No, they are liberal republicans. Ain't NUTHING conservative about them.

Also, the stimulus was supposed to insure that unemployment didn't get over 8%. What is it now? Closer to 10% everyday. Yeah, that's a failure in the majority of Americans minds.

itsatip that liberal republican = moderate and conservative democrat = moderate.

To make the goal of the stimulus that unemployment wouldn't top 8% is silly and flies in the face of economic reality. That is not my test of success.

It's a tip that you're wrong.

Also, the goal of the stimulus was supposed to be to stimulate the economy. It hasn't. How many years is it going take you to realize that in 2009, this thing hasn't worked for sh1t?

You also think that the majority of America would agree that 8% max unemployment is the judge for the success of the stimulus?

The moment Glenn Beck admits that his show (radio and otherwise) is comedy, then your argument is valid.

Political satire isn't funny unless it hits close to the mark. Apparently Stewart is so close to the mark for some that they forget that it's comedy.

No matter their specific reasons, here are the facts:

The $787 billion stimulus package that Congress passed in February doesn't seem to be having an effect, at least in the minds of a majority of adults polled by Gallup and USA Today.

The poll out Monday shows 57 percent of adults say the stimulus is having no impact on the economy or making it worse. Worse still, only 18 percent say they see an improvement in their personal situation as a result of the massive federal spending program, and 60 percent say they doubt the economy will be aided by the package in the years ahead.
