swamp dog 0 Posted October 6, 2009 From the guy who said "Matt Millen is a draft guru" "Joey Harrington is confident; ready to break out" "C. Rodgers is awesome" "M. Williams is awesome" I don't think you really know a shiat sandwich yeah, instead we should listen to you jizz all over yourself about aaron rodgers being eons better than favre. maybe we should bump some of your man-love favre threads when he was keeping your golden boy rodgers on the bench for 4 focking years. if you close your eyes and listen to the announcers gush about favre, you can pretend he still plays for the packers and probably rub one or two out in the last few minutes of the game. donhaas 18 Posted October 6, 2009 :pointstosky: Nice.... I'm going to enjoy having Rodgers on this team for the next 12 years.... And the Packers are the youngest team in the league When they get their best offensive lineman back from injury, Rodgers will be even better

The youngest team in the league? Who gives a fock....they're far from being one of the best teams in the league. Friggin' Sconnies.
BirdBradyBobbyOrr 0 Posted October 6, 2009 Adrian Peterson is great but nobody is going to tell me he's better than Terrell Davis, Emmitt or Sweetness in their primes. Those guys always went forward and Adrian loses yards on many plays like Barry Sanders did. Also the fumbles drop him down many many pegs in my book.

If you extrapolate Favre's first season through 12 years and he would be terrible... You can be dumb; but don't be stupid.... You held serve at home against a 6-10 team without their best offensive lineman... Sho Nuff 720 Posted October 6, 2009 Good game old man... Played very well. as for GB. Coaching (mental mistakes are on him...not kicking the FG...those are on the HC) Capers...where is the pressure. 3 man rushes...you cannot give Favre 7 seconds to throw a ball. You cannot give Joey Harrington that long. Any QB in this league will kill you if you give him that much time. The secondary cannot cover forever Rodgers...very good at times...still holds the ball too long. Those turnovers were the total difference in the game. Oline...good enough at times...piss poor at others. Defensive line is a mixed bag...great against Peterson...terrible on the pass rush. LBs I thought were the bright spot along with Finley. also good to see the screen game work a bit tonight.

Agreed on most everything... disagreed with FG call.... ball hit Lee between the 8 and 6.... gotta pull that in. Packers were having trouble with the noise and the make-shift line.... if they can pull it together, they will be tough by the end of the season... But this team might still be a year or two away.... still the youngest team in the league... Rodgers is the man.... I can't see anybody putting up 384 yards with how crappily the line played today...... Tough kid... took lots of hits....

And the coach on your sideline almost botched this game up tonight. I believe at this time last year everything was great for the NY Jets too. Favre is 40 and he skipped training camp. It's a long season. That said, he was great tonight.

AintNoStoppinMeNow 68 Posted October 6, 2009 Two things that I came away with after tonight... Favre has an 8 to 1 TD to INT ratio this year and if I remember correctly the one INT came on a tipped ball. That's a great ratio for any QB and even more amazing for a "gunslinger" like Favre. The Vikings were able to win without Adrian Peterson being much of a factor tonight.

It's a long season. That said, he was great tonight. In all seriousness, that was the Vikings best game of the year. They protected Favre, held onto the ball pretty well, and played great D. They did go into prevent defense a lil' too early....imagine that, Chilly playing it conservative. Still, most NFL teams do the exact same thing in the same situation....so not sure how Chilly almost 'botched this game tonight'? The Packers are too inconsistent for a 'good team'. Sometimes they look good....other times, not so much.....of course that's what you get with having one of the youngest teams in the league. Still, this team has the talent to win now.....and they don't.....8-12 is a fact....so either you look at the coach, or the GM, or someone....anyone.....but sooner or later you have to realize that wins and losses matter more than average age. I like Rodgers as a QB....and agree with Woodson: give the guy some time, and he's one of the best QBs in the league......hell, he's the QB for one of my fantasy squads, so there's your proof what I think of the guy. But as a team, there's something off.....and if you don't fix it, then yeah....you'll be 8-8 by the end of the season. You can play the coulda, woulda, shoulda game all you want....but the simple fact is this: if you can't protect your QB.....and you can't pressure the other team's passer, then you're not going to be a winning ballclub. Pretty simple really.....maybe you should pass it on to TT and MM.

Almost let the Packers back into the game when they should have cruised to victory. I don't recall playing any coulda shoulda woulda games at all. It's pretty obvious that GB has OL issues. My main point was you need to settle down. It's only 4 weeks into the season.
