"""Official American Idol 9th Season"""

Recommended Posts

I'm sorry, I honestly have no attachment to any of the contestants this season. First time ever this has happened.

I find myself fast forwarding through half the contestants performances.

Probably still gonna watch, but really won't mind if I missed it.

I agree...I FF'ed it through more than one song. I'm pulling for the chick from Cape Cod as I got that connection and think she is at least in the top two. Plus I'd hit that sh1t like there was no tommorrow.

During a routine scrape, American Idol producers found Miley Cyrus at the bottom of a barrel next to some Hannah Montana doll hair and decided to make her a guest mentor on tomorrow night’s show. Cyrus will bestow unto the Top 11 contestants bits of wisdom such as “Wear boots” and “Sound like a chain smoker,” and then she’ll perform her hit “When I Look At You” on Wednesday’s results show, according to a press release from Fox.

That black chick was god awful.

I no longer watch the show. Decided it wasn't worth my time this season.

That was the worst performance I've ever heard at this point of the competition. She may have been saved by the sucktastic performances of Tim Urban and Andrew Garcia, though.

Siobhan is my new favorite.

I was mildly impressed with Mylie. The judges like to say it is a singing contest, but there is an "Idol" part as well, and I think she helped some folks with that part.

Yeah, i spent a lot of summers on the cape too so i was rooting for her as well. She's one of those chicks who seems a little geeky. And her geekiness seems to make her even more attractive to me. I have only seen her the last two weeks but Simon is right. She needs to pull off some of those incredible high notes during the song instead of just at the end.

For this late in the competition those were some of the worst performances in ai history.

My favorites are the fat black guy, bowersox and siobahn. I like the black guy's and siobahns personalities too.

Green Mile black guy doesn't do it for me; I keep thinking Reuben. Yeah he sings good, but I just see no "Idol" in him. I put Siobahn over Crystal because, somewhat similarly, I'm trying to see Crystal as a relevant artist and I'm just... not... there. I can see Siobahn growing into a star there.

Also for the guys I still think Casey is more relevant.

1. Siobhan- She continues to amaze me with her versatility. She will be in play every week with her vocal ability. "Wicked Games" was still my favorite song of hers, so she doesn't need to boom to impress. Her voice is strong throughout her range.

2. Crystal- She is already an artist. She never deviaites from what she is. That might hurt her some depending on the genre. Imagine her if she needed to perform on BeeGees week or something???

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3. Big Mike- Infectious personality, and a good voice. It's not powerful, but he has good control of it.

4. Casey- Huey Lewis??? WTF! He needs to stick to Seger, Southern Rock, or Cuntree

5. Little Country dude- I feel he has grown the most in the past 4 weeks. he is getting real good, and has a nice feel of the stage and who he is.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6. Didi - Is safe with the extra Lacey votes and the hotness factor. She needs to be careful week to week to not lay an egg.

7. dwyzee- or whatever, is a stiff. I'm not even that fond of his voice. It is nothing special or unique. He is simply the token rocker dude this year, and the poorest one of those at this point in the competition yet.

8. Katie- I liked her look and sound better last night and mylie was good for her. She survives on teenybop appeal, and can improve even more.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10. Andrew- He was a 1 trick pony and he doesn't have a prayer beyond the next 2 weeks, without a miracle.

11. Bobby Brady is gonna stay, but I can't for the life of me figure out why????

12. Paige - She was absouterly horrible, and she knew it. I don't think she is really this bad, but she is gonna have to figure out how to get this rotten taste out of all of our mouths.

Simon chose this week to pick on Siobhan some to push her, much like he did with Crystal last week. These two are very good contestants for any season, but that is about it. I feel casey is gonna make it on his own, and urban becomes the new Sanjaya over these next 4 weeks or so. (we are stuck with him) The little country dude is a slick performer, and his voice will only get better over the next few years. He has a future, and a great humble personality. Big Mike will emcee shows.

1. Crystal-Janis Joplin done well puts her back on top, but it's only a matter of time before the baby starts showing

2. Siobhan-greta talent, but running the risk of becoming annoying with the screaming. So you can scream and hold the note. Whoop-de-do!

3. Casey-he could win, he'll be a star anyways

4. Mike-talented, for sure, but how successful was the other fat black guy who won?

5. Didi-I don't know why they dogged her, I thought it was good, plus she's sexy

6. Aaron-Not quite as gay as Adam Lambert, but he's still young, there's time for the flamer to come out

7. Katie-best week yet, I like her voice

8. Lee-I don't get it. He sounds like an average version of the Nickelback guy

10. Andrew-starting to flail, now. Holy Christ, Kara, stop talking about Straight Up! We get it! He peaked too early! Now STFU!

11. Tim-Will look shocked when he is safe again

12. Paige-Worst performance I've heard outside of Hollywood in the several years I've been watching

If Paige doesn't go this week, I'll be shocked. Andrew or Tim could get thne nod, too, although Tim is the featured Idol on votefortheworst.com.

Eliminated: Paige Miles

Bottom 3: Paige Miles, Tim Urban, Katie Stevens

Surprised that Garcia kid wasn't in the bottom three. He didn't even sing...just talked real loud into the mic. Nest week is R&B week. Good for the Green Mile guy.

Is it just me, or do the top 10 of this year not match up to the top 10 of last year? I like Siobahn. Everyone else could fade away and nobody would notice.

Yeah, they talked all through auditions and Hollywood about how the talent was so much better. I don't really see it, and this is the first year that I've seen where some of the people they really liked have just completely sh1t the bed. Besides Crystal and Casey, I think you're right. Unless someone makes a late charge, it's between those three.

When you think about it, and kutulu does continuously, you just gotta know this is why Simon is leaving. This is a set age group where some grow out of it and some enter. The rest in the middle, basically the whole bunch, are coming from the same pool of contestants. How many times can you ring a towel and get anything out of it. Simon is getting out and starting a different format of a show so all he has to do is compete with what is left of Idol.

Siobhan Magnus - Agree with the judges that it was her worst effort to date, plus she looked like a bag lady in training. :dunno:

Casey James - Did a good job, but too repetitious of a song, IMO

Michael Lynche - Did good, with a boring ass song, but I expected more considering this was his "week".

Didi Benami - She sucks and I look forward to her looming career in porn.

Tim Urban - Continues to blow chucks..has the "Justin Bieber" vote though.

Andrew Garcia - Continues to blow chunks...not quite as bad as the last few weeks, but still pretty bad.

Katie Stevens - She's alright, but there is something about her I can't stand. She may land ass first in porn too before all is written.

Lee Dewyze - Most improved and I like the tone of his voice. If he continues the pace of his improvment he may be a dark horse...but I doubt it.

Crystal Bowersox - Is she hiding a belly bump?

Aaron Kelly - I want to punch him inthe face a thousand and one times.

1-Casey James - Solid again, dude knows how to perform. I liked the horns with him

2-Lee Dewyze - I hate to admit that it was really good because I still hate his voice

3-Crystal Bowersox - I love the song, not one of her best efforts, though

4-Michael Lynche - He's better with the ballads

5-Katie Stevens - Not many 16 year olds can sing Aretha the way she did, I suspect

6-Aaron Kelly - I don't like this kid at all, but I grudgingly admit he can sing

7-Siobhan Magnus - Uh-oh, the tide may be turning. Even Simon's tired of the screaming

8-Andrew Garcia - I'm off the bandwagon, he could get voted off and I wouldn't bum out

9-Didi Benami - Holy fock, did that suck. Plus it was apparent last night that she has man hands and arms

10-Tim Urban - It's just pathetic, now. No charisma, no showmanship, nothing but a Bobby Brady hairdo

I'm thinking Tim, Didi, and shockingly, Katie in the bottom three with Man Hands leaving

If pron is next for her, she'd be hugely successful at Tugjobs.com.

Fair assessment. Siobhan is safe; she's been too good for too long. Also I agree that Casey was the best, although the judges were slobbing over Lee's performance.

I can see why Simon is leaving; they are dredging the bottom of the talent barrel at this point. Virtually every song is karaoke; I'm waiting for somebody to put their stamp on a song and the competition. Frankly the only one who has come remotely close is Andrew with his early "Straight Up," and he clearly sucks ass otherwise.

Bobby Brady is officially Sanjaya.

Siobhan is as real as it gets!

She will either step up and knock one out or she will press. There is no inbetween with her.

Next week they get to butcher Lennon and/or McCartney. Should at least be interesting if not entertaining.

Top tier:

Siobhan - "Nothing's Gonna Change My World" - Captivating performance of a great song. I fee like Simon was thinking about slamming her song choice until he asked her about it.

Casey - "Jealous Guy" - When I heard the song he selected I felt he might be blowing it because not many people knew it. He pulled it off with his best and most heart felt vocals to date, and excellant acoustic play.

Crystal - "Come Together" - To say workmanship like is to not give this gal enough credit. I like the person more and more every week as she exposes herself to us more and more

Middle tier:

Mike - "Eleanor Rigby" - Bold song choice with a fine result. It still don't think this guy is anything more than emcee material

Katie - "Let It Be" - She picked the perfect song for her skill set, especially since this might be one of a handful of songs she was familiar with going in.

Lee - "Hey Jude"- I wasn't a big fan, though he is getting way more confident with all the nob slobbing he's been getting.

Bottom tier:

Tim - "All My Loving" - He did a good job. He just doesn't have a chance unless he is perfect every week, and this might be close to his perfect. I agree with Randy's special "Tim Scale".

Andrew - "Can't Buy Me Love" - I thought he chose a song he could do something with and he chose to suck at performing it. he was my favorite entering Vegas week and jsut tanked.

Aaron - "Long and Winding Road" - The song over powered the young man, and it wasn't one you could take liberties with. His vocals were very weak.

-I wish Andrew would have taken a crack at "I've Just Seen a Face".

-I would have loved to have seen "Blackbird" tried by one of the guitar players, or Siobhan.

Andrew or Aaron should be gone, though katie might have to stand with them for awhile undeservedly.

Casey James nailed it last night...he was beginning to be nothing but a decent bar band singer, but IMO he put himself in contention if he can keep on having performances like that. :wall:

Andrew Kelly had by far the worst night of his tenure thus far. :wall: I don't however see him going home. He has yet to be even close to being in the bottom three and I think America will keep him around based on his past performances. <_< If he does horrible again he going to go and go quickly. :(

I think Andrew or Tim are going back to the real world after tonight!

* On a side note, one of my offices is less than 20 minutes from his home town, so yes I'm a bit jaded. :P

It's tough to pick a bottom three, they were mostly good this week. I think unless it's Tim or Andrew, you'll see the save come into play

Casey- I love that song, and he nailed it. He's pretty d@mn good unplugged

Crystal - She can't seem to have a bad performance. She and Casey have the most chance for commercial success

Katie - inconsistent week to week, but nailed it this time. Hard to believe she's only sixteen when she's singing

Mike - I didn't want to like it, but I think he did a good job with a dumb song choice

Siobhan - the slide begins. Don't be surprised to see her in the bottom three

Lee - WTF was that? He focking murders a great song, pulls out a bagpiper, and they act like it was the best thing they've ever heard. I don't get it. If it were up to me, the only reason he wouldn't be booted was because Andrew sucked more

Tim - I got the feeling they were giving him the sympathy reach around because it wasn't that great

Aaron - same old, same old. Why don't they ask this little peter puffer to change things up a little?

Andrew-Not good. At all

I think Tim, Andrew, and Aaron are the bottom three with the outside chance of Siobahn getting there for the first time, with Andrew going home. If it's Aaron, they'll save him.
