Soju808 1 Posted October 17, 2010 Last week it was Percy Harvin. Now Jabar Gaffney just schooled him. I don't want to hear any hammy excuses either. The hammy injury is his and his fault alone. Unfortunetly, I got the Jets Defense.

Chiefs04 0 Posted October 17, 2010 The stats I am looking at show Orton with less than 100 yards at the half Ortons Stats are irrelevant to this post. Revis has given up 4/65 to Gaffney in two quarters. He has benn thrown at 5 times. The subject isn't Ortons production, it is how Revis is covering, which is not very good for a second week in a row. Spec7ral 6 Posted October 17, 2010 The JEts love in will not cease until they lose a couple games to pedestrian teams. Unfortunately, their schedule may not allow for that to happen.

If Revis keeps up this type of play, the Jets should ask him to renegociate his contract. He's WAY underplaying his current contract.
Reality 3,121 Posted October 17, 2010 Most corners would be flagged all day long for what Revis gets away with. His hands are all over the WR's all the way down the field. I guess his reputation lets him get away with that.

Revis is still not 100% and he's right there on every throw. Keep hating and we'll just keep winning!!

WhiteWonder 2,925 Posted October 18, 2010 Revis doesn't look good out there but the only consolation I can take is that the Jets are still winning and things should only get better once he is fully healthy and in full game shape. not making any excuses for him. He never should have held out and this is what he deserves. he got beat like a drum yesterday.

ricanrockers 39 Posted October 18, 2010 Revis is still not 100% and he's still in all the WR's pockets. That TD, he gave up, Thomas was out of bounds. Too bad they challenged the play before. Now he has 2 more weeks of rest. He should be close to 100% for Green Bay. Let's talk sh!t when the guy is healthy and not nursing a pulled hamstring. I don't see too many people talking smack about LT2 now that he's healthy.

I don't see too many people talking smack about LT2 now that he's healthy. I am a huge Revis fan but this is where i differ from most Jets fans. Im going to speak the truth and tell everyone hes been getting beat badly (for his standards) and he has no one to blame but himself. Is he nursing an injury? yes. Why? Because he got greedy and held out when he had years left on his contract. I understand wanting to get paid but this is what happens when you miss TC. It makes him look silly that he spent all offseason clamoring to be the highest paid CB in NFL history and he looks rather ordinary now, injury or not. sperri40 12 Posted October 19, 2010 Being jealous of NY never goes out of style... Like RicanRockers (I think it was him) said...let's see how he does when healthy. And yeah, talk trash about the LT2 signing now...[CRICKETS]...that's right. 5-1 bottom line. 1st place and rolling until proven otherwise...with or without a healthy/ effective Revis. RoadLizard 73 Posted October 19, 2010 Over-rated to the max. Way too much money paid and owed to him. Its almost as bad as the Raiders when they overpaid for that Cowboys safety(after SB MVP award).

WhiteWonder 2,925 Posted October 20, 2010 I still can't figure out why NFL teams pay guys that hold out most people know i'm not a "blind homer" Jets fan. So i'll try to give my take on it. Darrelle deserved a raise. He was making 1 million this season which is obviously nothing to sneeze at but is much much less than his relative NFL worth. He had one of the best seasons ever by a CB when you take everything into account (interceptions, tackles, passes defensed, completion rate against him) plus all the top WR's he shut down. Should he have held out? I think there was a better way to deal with it. He could have taken the Nick Mangold road. Especially when he has years left on his deal. Why do teams pay players that hold out? Well in the Jets case, they consider themselves legit Super Bowl contenders and they consider Revis to be their best defender. A guy who allows Rex to run alot of the expotic blitz packages he loves. The Jets have played very well without Revis but not many people expected that. Especially after Cromarties performance week 1 against Baltimore.
mambokings 0 Posted October 20, 2010 Revis held out, wasn't ready to play, and now this injury will linger all year. Thanks for nothing... He looks very average out there and that's being kind. Cromartie is the best corner on the team.

Purple Pride 28 0 Posted October 21, 2010 I loved watching Revis get owned by Harvin a couple weeks ago. Not only was he beat but he was just plain pushed around by Percy all game. And he looks healthy to me - not that I'm an expert or anything. I think it's an excuse
Matt Mueller 148 Posted October 21, 2010 Revis wasn't 100%. No question about it. I'm a Jets homer but he has been nothing more than an unprepared, out of shape, now injured diva this year. That said anyone who watched the Colts torch the Jets secondary in the playoffs last year knows that they weren't a superbowl caliber team without him. He'll be fine. And the Jets are SCARY good if Sanchez can manage games well.
