It was a great year.

In Seattle standards

10 losses does not equal a good year

It something to build off of. Good to see that the guys currently on the roster arent complete garbage and some can actually be used going forward. This team still needs a couple more injections of talent.

and as far as draft position, Carrol and Schneider cant do any worse with the 25th pick, then Ruskell did with the 6th pick two years ago.

It would have been nice if they could have made it a game today, but last week was still a blast.

We win playoff games. What exactly do the Eagles do?

1-1 > 0-1

I'd rather lose early in the playoffs than lose later. The end result is the same for 31 teams, including the eagles and seahawks.

However Seattle now has a worse draftpick for a team that clearly has needs on both sides of the ball.

Additionally, if the rules regarding free agency are the same as last season, the seahawks are now limited as a result of the final eight rule.

Good scouting can overcome the freefall in the draft. We wasted the 6th pick in 2008.

I dont understand how winning a playoff game is better then not winning one. You'll need to do a better job explaining that to me.

Hopefully it wont cause a certain Bear fan to crawl out of the hole he's been hiding in since week 6.

I think they are no where but up. But at the same time they need a lot of personal. They are a bad 7-9 team that won an upset. They need a lot of players. Hasselbeck is decent because he has been there and is experienced. But you have to think he may have 1 or 2 years left in him. QB will be a real need soon, unless you are one to think Whitehurst is the future.

I think Carroll can be an inspiring coach, especially for young players. But not sure if he will be a real good football coach in the NFL.

Hey, that would still be 1 or 2 more years then I thought he had just a few weeks ago. I agree with everything you said.

Now if both franchises entered the league the same year, this stat would mean something. But I'm guessing you have no idea what I'm talking about.

You're right. My bad. Seattle is a way better franchise than Philadelphia.

Playoff victories since 1974

Eagles 13

Seattle 8

oops

4 more playoff wins. Woopty-focking-doo.

The Seahawks didnt start playing until 1976..not 1974. From 1960 to 1978 the Eagles didnt play in any playoff games. The Hawks have never had a drought like that (they first made the playoffs in 1983).

11 playoff appearances in 24 years vs. 23 in 67.

Face it, the Eagles are the East Coast Seahawks, just with a more delusional fanbase.

WTF do the Eagles have to do with the Seahawks? I'd have been rooting for Seattle today if their fans on this board weren't such gloating @ssholes.

Probably because arseholes like F@ghawker were beating their chests over a 7-9 record in the worst division I've ever seen followed by a fluke win last week.

2. Who focking cares who you root for?

You sound tense pal. Rough afternoon?

I understand a lot of this is Hawker backlash. But when you bash on my team, for whatever reason, expect me to respond.

And no, Im not tense at all. I appreciate getting to watch a great playoff game last week and despite the outcome it was cool to watch my team play again this week. Even though they got in on a fluke this year it still beats the hell out of the last two years.

You'll notice I didn't rag on the Seahawks at all, only the fans on this board who were talking all kinds of smack last week and vanished like c0ckroaches when you flip the lights on after today. F@ghawker isn't the only one but he was by far the worst of the bunch. It added some interest to a boring game I otherwise wouldn't have cared about much.

Good scouting can overcome the freefall in the draft. We wasted the 6th pick in 2008.

I dont understand how winning a playoff game is better then not winning one. You'll need to do a better job explaining that to me.

this one is fairly simple.

while you always want to win any game you play in, it's a catch-22 for a team like Seattle who had little business being in the post season anyway.

even the blindest of homer hawks would tell you this team has holes and wouldn't have sniffed the post season in any other division.

i applaud the positive thinking regarding "cant do any worse than 6th pick of 2008" but if you are banking on the improved scouting of the Carroll regime, then common sense says that regime having a higher pick would still be better for the organization.

later picks are really only good for solid teams looking to save coin. Teams like Pitt and Indy who pick BPA year after year because they have such few holes to fill.

i dont think this is make or break for Seattle, but thats my take on it.

Yeah because no real talent can be found at the bottom of a draft to fill holes. Gee maybe the NFL should cancel the first round after the first oh what 15 picks or so. Keep those incorrect generalizations coming though. They are quite entertaining.
