I turned down tickets to this game as I just didn't see the fun in sitting in 0-5 degree windchill for 3 hours. When I get a better view from my HD and a nice warm place to watch the game. But right now I am starting to question my not going :(

Rodgers looks to be acting gingerly, I wonder if that hit on his TD run hurt his ribs any. Then Peppers got a shot in as well...

If the Bears O-line can't block three friggin' Packers, were done! What happened to the 3-step drop and throw the ball??? How about some quick slants like the Packers do??? Martz, Helloooo!!!

I don't know if I have seen a quicker release than Rodgers. That must be frustrating to d-linemen.

after one quarter, everything favors the packers. qb play, field position, coaching...all of it.

obviously still a close game and a long way to go, though.

observation: if i'm a bear fan and cutler goes back to throw, i'm scared shiatless. if i'm a packer fan and rodgers goes back to throw, i'm extremely confident and excited.

A seven-step drop in your own end zone? That whole play call series was one of the worst I've seen, nice start to the game Martz. :bench:

i like this starks kid. question for packer fans: why didn't he get more playing time earlier in the year?

How did the Bears rank so high in Defense? Or is GB this dominant. I mean it's just too easy for them.

He was on the PuP and injured.

martz needs to remember what got the bears here...he seems hellbent early on here to prove his play calling in the giants game was legit.

Not a Packer fan, but I believe he was hurt.

Not being able to tackle Jackson on that dump-off was brutal for Chicago.

Haven't really seen Starks play this year...runs like he's shot out of a cannon.

If Grant wasn't coming back, sure move up Starks, but I think Grant is back?

i don't care who wins this game...but come on, bears. at least make it entertaining for the rest of america! what a letdown for neutral football fans if this game is over by halftime

Chicago looks extremely over matched, extremely.

i think mccarthy is eating marinelli for lunch as well. never been a fan of the, um, the *imagination* of marinelli. he's a great drill sergeant...but i don't think he adapts well during a game.

Is it too early to say the game is over and to start a "fire Lovie/Angleo thread"?

:slaps him twice: calm down and get a hold of yourself!! there's three quarters of football left!

Slap me a third time if it helps...but with this coaching staff, not feeling so good!

That holding call is no doubt a make-up call from all those holding calls in the first game...what a horrible call in that situation!

Can't blame Bears fans for wanting to think their team was better than they are. But think rest saw them for what they were - average.

I see you have a trend of complaining about refs...

Am I the only one that didn't know about that fumble inside the 2-minute rule?

Could be, didn't know you followed me that much...that was a B.S. call, first down at the 10 or 2-20 at the 40!!! Taylor did not hold on that call!

Cutler is sooooo off, it sucks. When he needs to throw it too far he under throws it, when he could get away with under throwing, he over throws. Knox has got to go up and keep that guy from interecpting it. He put his arms up like he was going to catch the ball when the Packer had a better angle.

Pretty sad the Packers are only up by 14. How many times have they had it at mid-field and got nothing out of it? Not even a FG attempt? Should be like a 20-0 0r 24-0 game right now.

If the ball hits the ground and moves, it's not an interception, this ref blows...oh wait, I'm complaining about the refs again!

I'm stunned it's only a two score game, still don't have a warm and fuzzy feeling, eventhough I'm sitting by the fire place on a nice comfy couch!

If it wasn't for a fluke ball off Driver's shoe, they don't even have the ball there. If they called the Shields INT incomplete its not like Cutler was going to do anything with it anyway. If it wasn't for Olsen mugging Matthews he woulda thrown an INT earlier.

Peirera has no idea what he's talking about....huge surprise.

 x100

I had to run and log on to the computer to comment on that...and I have no rooting interest whatsoever. Not only does Peirera say the call would be overturned, but he also says (correctly) that the defender was down by contact as he made the interception. So they go back live to the field and ref calls interception stands AND they allow the advance after the interception.

There's something wrong when the former head of officiating and the actual ref conflict on both aspects of the call. I like the way Joe Buck just kinda went silent for a few moments after the official ruling was said. Like he didn't want to point out that Peirera said the complete opposite.

FWIW, I agreed that the pick should stand.

I'm not really surprised about the early returns on this game. It's hard to have faith in any team with Cutler at QB, Mike Martz as OC, a bad OL and sub-average receivers. They have the defense but that O can't stand up to a great D. I'm just shocked the game is this close at halftime.

It's not so much the Bears ineptitude that is surprising me, but the fact that the Packers are just shredding this defense is astounding. The Bears defense isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination...but this game is clearly over. And if Todd Collins comes in...........

B.S. - the ref closest to the play doesn't call anything!!!

Not that the Bears could do anything anyway, with or without the refs help!
