Been a long time since we had anything to cheer about... Let us have our moment and STFU!

You gotta admit... Fairly is only going to improve this already powerful defense. We just need to get some work done on that O-Line. :ninja:

this is one of the pay back games i've had circled. no ref is going to save cutler and bears' collective azz this time.

bump.

come out come out, wherever you are, bear fans. :pointstosky:

Detroit Defense + Megatron + Stafford = WIN!

Nice win...but you don't get to play Romo every week.

Other teams will not give away a 27-3 lead like that.

Nor will other teams single cover CJ at the goalline.

Again, nice win to get to 4-0...but 2 weeks in a row getting behind like that...nice to come back, but against better teams, they won't get away with it.

on the other hand, just think how good they'll be when they play four quarters of football instead of just two. spin away, sho. what the lions did the past two weeks the packers have never ever done. nor has any team in nfl history. and these were road games (of which the lions have won five in a row).

the packers aren't the media darlings anymore, and they can't pad their nfcn stats easily against the lions anymore. just stfu and deal. i know both of those things annoy the hell out of packer fans (especially the love affair the media has with the lions). but tough shiat.

the packers don't even make the playoffs last year if the lions don't beat tampa for them. then they make an improbable run. impressive, yes, but you can "get back to me" when the packers do it again.

two can play that dumbass game.

in the interim, i'm sure the lions are all on pins and needles until the mighty sho gives them his begrudging nod.

Barely, barely, barely squeak by the crapass Minnesota Vikings and suck-ass Dallas Cowboys :dunno:

Lets all be excited, but lets not get carried away....

the packers don't even make the playoffs

How do you even know what "playoffs" are? That something that a Lions fan reads about in a book.

The Packers are World Champs... get over it.....stop trying to spin things...

As somebody once famously said....

World Champs = World Champs = World Champs

nah, that's not how sho's logic works. get back to me when the packers earn home-field advantage and actually do something in the playoffs other than have a cute miracle run (much like the lions have done so far). just applying sho's logic back at you.

other than that, this is a bears-lions thread. go fawn over the packers in your own thread.

Spin away?

What is spin...Romo blows games at times...he sucked yesterday.

Some of it was the D...some of it was him being his usual choking self.

Yay...they did something nobody else has done...awesome.

The point is, they can't keep getting away with that against better teams.

Do you disagree with that?

Do you think they can do that against a team like GB? New Orleans? New England? Baltimore?...?

Glad to see the old swamp with stfu is back though. Being the old usual pissy biotch you always were because anyone dared to criticize the lions.

Media darlings? Who cares. Those things piss off Packer fans?

I don't give a rat's ass what the media talks about...btw, the media has been gushing about Rodgers today anyway. :overhead:

Yes, the Packers were fortunate to get into the playoffs...but they also were unfortunate to suffer so many losses to injury last year. Already hit with a big one this year too. Guess what, none of the what if crap matters as they were holding the trophy in the end. And sure, doing it again will be tough, nobody is arguing that. But I feel ok we will contend for a while as long as we have Rodgers (and now that they resigned Nelson he will continue to have weapons at his disposal).

But glad the old swamp is back...all pissed off that everyone is not bowing down to the Lions.

The board is more fun that way...makes up for Walter not being around as much anymore.

You are SHONUF looking like the biatch today! HA HA... Lions will only improve with these early games... You haven't seen their best game yet... When all cylindars are running in the first quarter... look out. Monday Night Football and Thanksgiving Day will be much fun for Lions fans this year.

Im looking like a biotch because swamp pulled his usual pissy self?

Hilarious.

The Lions look good...no doubt.

Thanksgiving will be exciting...I usually dread that game even when the Lions stink (GB has not always done well in that game).

Should be a great game and you all are definitely the main competition right now.

But can either of you deny that you can't get behind like you have the last 2 weeks against the better teams?

I think Fairly has to get on the field and do something before I admit to anything about him. So far he's a high draft pick and a name only.

That front 4 was not dominant yesterday in Dallas from what I saw. 1 sack from Willie Young? WTF is Willie Young? I thought they would dominate Dallas and their rookies on the OL but they didn't.

Monday will be a battle. Bears will give them all they want, and then some.

They went 0 and 16 in 2008, 1st team to ever go winless.

Give them a break and let them gloat.

For the 1st time since the early 90's, I am looking forward to the 12 o'clock thanksgiving game.

the bears could barely handle the panthers at home yesterday. hester single-handedly had to pull that game out of his azz for them. next monday is not even going to be close. the stadium will be packed. first mnf game in detroit in years. cutler will spend more time on his back than brittney spears.

You like to walk the tightrope of decent Lions/North Division fan to complete buffoon every week.

No argument there... But as I said earlier, these early season games will only make the Lions better. Defense will be more fierce and offense will be more than just CJ. Although Pettigrew and Young have gotten in the game... We need some work on running and O-line ... which will improve as the season goes on.

This was hilarious... guy is injured for 4 weeks, finally manages to do something on the field... then quickly proceeds to attempt to re-injure himself in celebration. How much did they pay this clown?

I see the battle for the North continues here in words.

And all I want to do is make the playoffs. Who cares what the other teams do? GB best team in football right now. Lions are the best 4-0 team that is not GB.

(And not that it matters, but I am not really a rookie here. Lost my Lions or Die login and couldn't get it back.)

I'll go along with that right now... Everything from here on out makes us stronger for the Super Thanksgiving Day game. Hell, this is the closest thing we have ever had to a Super Bowl around here. GB is tough but it is doable... split em' last year on their Super run... they are beatable.

define "demise"? i haven't seen you make any predictions. i predicted 7 wins for the lions, so it's looking i was obviously wrong there.

maybe you can get off your butt and throw out there your predictions the rest of the way out for the lions. you obviously have some tangible numbers in mind, as you have an "inevitable demise" predicted for them. just put some concrete numbers out there. thanks in advance.

Whatever you predicted means squat...look at your posts in this thread.

All you are doing is again setting yourself up for disappointment and mockery (cue, Id be happy if they just make the playoff lie).

The inevitable demise I am predicting is for you, not the Lions.

BTW...old goomy can admit it...now can you....do you think the Lions can continue to start that slow and get behind when they do play better teams?

Me too. I'm glad for Lions fans everywhere actually. After what Millen did to that team (and the buffoons who kept employing him), its nice to see people in MI having some positive things to say. The last decade its been all 'ZERO WINS, We're going NOWHERE, Stafford's hurt, Stafford's hurt AGAIN, Why did Barry retire?'.

I''m a long-suffering, life-long Lions fan. This team is nice, talent all over the place. Able to overcome some really bad play to make some miraculous comebacks.

But I agree with a previous poster: Lions fans need to act like they have been there before, even though we haven't been in a long while. Show some class. Admit when this team gets lucky, like they did the last 2 games. Enjoy the wins but don't talk sh!t. That's childish.

The Packers are the champs until someone unseats them. Hopefully it is the Lions.

And don't forget that the season is going great because Stafford is healthy and playing great. That could all change with one hit, just like last year......
