Still rolling in my 94 Sierra. Driving it till it dies, I love that truck. Bought it was I was 17, had it for 5 and a half years. Been in the shop 4 times, 3 for minor repairs. The only semi-major thing was I had to get my fuel lines replaced, that was $650. Other than that, paid for it in cash and I have spend maybe 2k on repairs and maintenance....over almost 6 years. Best decision I ever made.

Whole family is a Lexus family.

Very happy with my RX330

I like Lexuses because, unlike most luxury vehicles, they are actually quite dependable.

That said, you just outed yourself as someone who grew up with a silver spoon in their mouth.

The one that your mom can't operate the interior lights and there's more room near the steering wheel.

The 2004 Lexus was paid off by myself and myself only. I chose a SUV or a "soccer mom's car" because I needed something big enough to carry all my DJ equipment, and honestly I hated all the other SUVs I test drove.

I was fortunate enough to get a nice salary out of college in the IT industry before everything crashed.

Parents are not rich, but not poor. Owns a decent 3 bedroom house in San Jose. But I don't think it's right to say I grew up with a silver spoon in my mouth.

Haha, I was just needling you more than anything. A family where everyone drives a Lexus? You can see how that was ripe for comment. :D

You grew up wealthy; nothing to be ashamed of (from wikipedia):
The cost of living in San Jose and the surrounding areas is among the highest in California and the nation.[40] Housing costs are the primary reason for the high cost of living, although the costs in all areas tracked by the ACCRA Cost of Living Index are above the national average. Despite the high cost of living in San Jose, households in city limits have the highest disposable income of any city in the U.S. with over 500,000 residents.[41][42]

2008 Honda Civic Si

Upgraded the intake, and also a full exhaust system. Used Hondata flashpro to ('chip'/program) the car to optimize the air/fuel ratio, adjusted the timing, car has a 2.0L k series engine in it, dual overhead cams, so optimized the high cam coming online given the better ability of the car to breath.

Car gets anywhere from 30-34 mpg combined, stock it was 27-30 mpg-ish... Started at 197HP/139TQ, with my little changes its at 220/150, little more pep, little more efficiency.

Car has 50k miles on it now, runs like a champ, its a little on the loud side, but econo boxes don't usually have much sound deadening. Thing only weighs 2800lbs. Has an awesome 6-sp transmission, the lightest clutch you've ever felt, and it is a very cheap and enjoyable car, especially on twisty roads.

Given the new Honda Civic '12 was a complete flop, and honda is redesigning it now, my version of the civic is selling at ridiculously high prices. I could sell it for 17-18k, and paid 20k for it 3 years ago... I think at the end of the winter im trading it in for an Infinity g37 sedan, or that new Hyundai Genesis sedan, both are pretty nice cars and great values as compared against their classes...

This little car is a toy, and a chance to experiment. I always loved cars and engines growing up, but never had a chance to play around with one. this car is a great platform to work with if your into that kind of thing. Too bad Honda has given up on making fun to drive little econoboxes...

Glad I had the opportunity to learn a bit about how to work on cars, fun stuff. Seems like less and less

People these days have that knowledge, just like less and less know how to drive a manual transmission. Lost art I guess.

My bad - I did indeed. Just trying to do my part in the war on terror, and emulate Will Farrell at the same time. The Prius was cool enough for him...
