Red Baron, Pizza "and sides" frozen meal.

Recommended Posts

Here's the rundown:

This is well packaged but it sucks. It's a Red Barron Pizza with a bag of motz sticks in one box. I'm guessing there are also wings versions, etc. but this was all they had. On sale for $5. I decided to give it a try.

Pizza:

5 servings

320 calories

14g of fat

35g carbs

Motz sticks

3 servings

250 calories

16g of fat

16g carbs

10g protein

Does not come with a dipping sauce for the motz sticks ... that's strike one right there. Luckily I had an extra packet from a Digiorno. Had it for like a year, put it in the microwave and it was good dipping sauce for the cheese sticks. I will warn you though, they warm up quickly and if you reheat them too long the cheese will explode out of the sticks. If you are OK with this, make sure you are cooking with a baking pan so you don't mess up your oven. Or maybe you could cook the pizza at the same time and it drips onto the pizza. Either way, if you are not careful, you end up with hot breaded nothing, and a dirty oven. I'd much prefer deep fried zuchini or mushrooms or some vegetable anyway. Still, I;d say it makes a fair appetizer for 2 or 3 people if you have some sauce and cook it right.

Yer gonna hafta check for my review of the pizza ... but right now we are looking at 2 stars. Even on sale for $5.

GFIAFP -- dude get as many Motz sticks as you can find , then go get a deep fryer , fry em up really thick and eat as many as you can ... rinse repeat. This will be good for you and your life. ( not that you would have a heart attack within a weak -- take that thought out of your mind - it will be good for you )

actually cheaper and better to make your own -- Just buy the cheese, a few pizza crusts, and pizza sauce - then get whatever you want to put on it. I use them for left overs - If I have left over Chicken , sausage , steak , ham , --- whatever I just toss it on there and bake it.

A. It's not "as" bad for you

B. You use up your leftovers

C. It actually takes less time to make ( just get the crust out - spread the sauce on , throw on cheese and left overs -- time to prep 2-3 minutes Time to cook 1/2 the time as a frozen pizza or less. I cook mine in like 10 minutes - maybe less.

I still need to start eating better. Skinny people that work out 5 days a week still get heart attacks if they eat mozz sticks 4 days in a row.

I got burned out on Red Baron. I forget what it was, but there was a sale and at one time I had like 10 Red Baron's in my freezer. The crust sucks. I always ignore the "baking pan" suggestion and just cook my pizza right on the rack. I then tear the box in half and use the inside of it as a plate for the pizza.

Anyway, this time I was careful not to overcook the pizza, because Red Baron crust tends to get hard and curl up on the edges. It's still bad pizza, but I actually was able to eat most of it. They've made some improvements to the crust. I'm only upping the review to 2 1/2 stars though.

If they did upgrade the crust, as I suspect, there is a new problem. The cheese and the toppings don't melt into it enough unless you cook it like it says in the directions with a baking pan (possibly). So you take a bite, and pull off the entire toppings for the slice along with your 1 bite of crust.

Pretty much all pizza directions suggest using a baking pan. Whatever that is. Real men don't own one of those. You put it right on the rack.

IT'S NOT GAMBLING!

But that's a debate for a whole nother thread. I'm gonna quote someone else I heard say the same thing, I am "grossly underemployed".

And yes, I have lost a couple thousand dollars playing poker at the local casino over the last couple of years ... but I don't play at the casino anymore. It's too hard to beat the bad beats, the dealer tips and the rake.

If that's the case, stop spinning your whiney underemployed nonsense.

It's pretty clear you're not willing to work or apply yourself to anything worthwhile, at all.

Yeah .... you are right. 10 years ago I had a job in NYC making $60k a year. I worked my ass off to move up to that job ... and I totally would prefer to be back in Tucson, working part time for my Mom instead. Living in the empty house next door. Fortunately I can see her as she is walking over from a window, but I had to stop and restart beating off, twice today. Lotta wasted time, but it's not like I have anything better to do.

Yeah ... I'm thrilled with how it all turned out.

LOl .... yeah ... you and I have different definitions of "wasting your life." Working at some shiatty job for 50 years, retiring, and dying 5 years later ... that sounds like wasting your life to me.

You're just lazy. You like to pretend like the economy has done this to you, but really you just prefer to not have a real job.

Those would be the best focking commercials ever. At the end, you'd just be thinking...

1. That is one crazy motherfocker.

2. Isn't that chick too young to be nekkid on t.v.?

3. What the fock was he selling again?

Good Idea.

They also don't have to worry about their mother catching them masturbating either, so I'd say his diet is the least of his problems.
