12 Geeks 1 Cup 2013: Draft complete...southcarolina wins in landlside

I've been meaning to do this for a few days...since apparently hardly anyone looks at the 12G1C subforum....

 

All the recruiting going on in the mange bored got me thinking i should get the ball rolling on 12G1C2013. We're not in any hurry i dont guess, but i thought it would be helpful to get a list of people who were definitely in, possibly in, definitly out, and maybe a waiting list.


First, i guess im the de fatso commissioner. If anyone wants to be the actual official commissioner , i will gladly step aside. If no one wants to do it, i will. But i thought maybe there was someone just desperately needed to be in charge.

Other than that, if you played last year how about pick a status, I'll keep a running list, Its not set in granite, but it will give us an idea about whether we need to start recruiting before draft day.

About 12G1C:

 

-Free Yahoo redraft league. Im not married to Yahoo, but its the one i have the most experience with.

 

-1 PPR

 

-QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/Flex/K/DEF plus 9 bench spots.There is still some discussion whether the flex spot will be RB/WR/TE or just WR/TE.

 

-Ideally, we will stay with the 12 team format, as long as we get enough owners.

 

-Slow draft...last year we did the draft on MFL...i think Volty set it up, and then our former Commissioner transferred the results to Yahoo.

 

-Looks like we did the draft last year toward the end of August. Returning owners will have priority of course, but if you havent committed by Aug 1 I will start trying to fill your spot.

 

-Champion gets a cup of Old Maid's poo.

I don't think that I've ever been on a real "date", so no.

 

It usually plays out with me walking home alone and waking up the next morning thanking our lord that I walked home alone

I just looked at the calendar, i was correct, it's focking june.

NFL training camps open in about 6 weeks. Also, i spend a lot more time at the baseball field and a lot less time on here in the summer. When i post this and blink, it will be July. I kinda like this league and would like to see it succeed. There is no harm in getting an early start. All the shiny expensive leagues on the mange bored have been recruiting for weeks. If we need more players, scrounging them up at the last second isnt how i want to deal with it.
