Favorite Top Ten Song of 1999

My favorite year since the early nineties. I like quite a few of these.

This was around the time that my daughter started liking pop songs to go along with her Barney and Elmo music, so I'm familiar with all of these.

 

I liked Believe. It was Cher's best song in over ten years. I also liked most of Sugar Ray's singles, this one included. The Sixpence song was decent.

 

I've always had soft spot for Britney and Christina, because my daughter adored them and listened to them constantly. And the Ricky Martin tune was a great choice as a DJ to make the ladies get up and dance.

 

For me, though, No Scrubs is the best song here. Just kind of gets stuck in your head.

Same here. My son was born in 96, so we were finally branching out into pop music.

 

Kiss Me is good, as is Genie and Sugar Ray. But I had to channel my inner phag and go with Ricky Martin. We played the crap out of that song, and it was hella fun.

Yeah but different kinds of songs I guess. EJ was a Tribute song and RM was singing about a woman he supposedly wanted -------- now when I hear that song it's stuck in my head he was likely singing about a tranny. Kind of rooned it.
