Matt Mueller 148 Posted August 22, 2013 Have you tried getting into the first row of your sport? Hint Hint Yeah that's my go to. I cancelled cable last year b/c all I was watching was sports really and felt it wasn't worth it. I bought the NHL package so I could watch online and through my xbox. I wish the NFL offered something similiar. Not sure how much the redonze package goes for on direct tv but it'd buy into it for sure if I had a similar option with the NFL. For Madden 25th Anniversary edition it costs $100, but you get NFL Sunday ticket and redzone available to stream to your computer or tablet all season. I'm giving it a shot this year, as I spend a ton of money at the bars watching my Browns out here in Colorado.

Matt Mueller 148 Posted August 22, 2013 Before I get too excited I'm looking into this: http://www.amazon.com/Madden-Anniversary-Edition-Sunday-Xbox-360/dp/B00CF7KVMI/ref=sr_tr_sr_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1377189473&sr=8-1&keywords=madden+25 Exclusive Offers From DirecTV For fans who are not currently DirecTV subscribers but are able to receive DirecTV service, they will receive a promo code entitling them to $10 off per month for their first year of service and one year of NFL Sunday Ticket Max at no additional charge. For fans who are already DirecTV and NFL Sunday Ticket Max subscribers, you can access NFL Sunday Ticket on your computer, tablet, and mobile devices using your current DirecTV username and password. For fans unable to receive DirecTV service, each Madden NFL 25 Anniversary Edition will include a unique code to access the 2013 regular season (17 weeks) trial of NFL Sunday Ticket on computers, tablets, and mobile devices- including access to the award-winning Red Zone Channel. Question, if I fall into the group that COULD receive Direct TV...does that mean I'll only get the promo code? I would buy this in a heartbeat if I can watch games. They could double the price. I actually called Direct tv. I believe when you enter a code it asks you whether you can receive direct tv and you can just check a box no. I just told them I rent an apartment and my landlord won't allow a satellite dish, thereby making me unable to receive direct tv.
chroniciguana 13 Posted August 22, 2013 If you are a DirecTV subscriber and you are no longer under contract ... 1. Phone DirecTV customer support. 2. Ask for a customer retention specialist, 3. Explain that cable/whatever is offering to mow your lawn, bear your children, etc. to get you to switch. 4. Tell them you LOVE DirecTV, but your wife/whatever is nagging you to switch. (This wife thing is optional, but use it.) 5. What can DirecTV do? 6. They will offer you Sunday Ticket and some other stuff. Free.

Do we think this madden-redzone deal will expire or go into the season? If I can get this I'm 100% in. Also yeah first row EU works fine. I've caught some preseason there. I've caught some preseason there. I am not sure if it is just a pre-order deal or what, but Madden comes out Tuesday so I would act quick as their is only a limited supply. Read up on the comments/boards on the bottom of the Amazon page as a lot of people have had the same questions as you. It's a 3 way deal with Amazon/EASports/DirectTv so a lot of the wording of the deal is very vague to protect all of their collective entities. It's hard to get a direct answer from any of the companies because of this. But hey, I was probably going to get Madden anyways, so for an extra $40 for Sunday ticket without having to have DirectTv seems like a chance totally worth taking. I'm almost 100% it's legit, and if it turns out not to be, well I've blown $40 in a lot more stupid ways than this.

5Year1 23 Posted August 23, 2013 My cable channel Time Warner did not have the NFL networks the first 3 or 4 weeks last year. I was able to find it online, but it was not a direct connection from the NFL website and it would lock up or totally go black almost every week. Not reliable. If its that important ( and for me as a serious Fantasy player and without the ability to get the Sunday ticket at DirectTV), I would pay for it on TV. AnaheimRams 28 Posted August 23, 2013 I wonder how long it's going to take for the RedZone Channel to backfire on the NFL. I got rid of my DirecTV and Sunday ticket when the local cable company started offering Red Zone. That's all we watch on Sundays now. Occasionally we'll roll out one of the smaller TV's with the regular broadcast on it... but only if it's a game somebody particularly cares about. No commercials... and RZ has gotta be pulling viewers away from the money making broadcasts.

The only reason why I even got the Sunday Ticket in the past was to watch RedZone.
5Year1 23 Posted August 23, 2013 I don't see Redzone affecting Sunday ticket. Sunday ticket is targeted to fans of teams in who are living in other cities. These are also not the primary audience of the network broadcasts. In addition, DirectTV is much cheaper than cable in most areas, so there is financial deterrent for many fans to give up DirectTV in favor of cable. And its not a loser for the NFL because even though there are no commercials, they use it to promote their Thursday night games.
Matt Mueller 148 Posted August 29, 2013 Has anyone bought the Madden package and got the redzone? Still haven't tried this yet...a little nervous b/c I can def get direct tv if I wanted to. Maybe I can do that 'landlord won't let me put a cable dish work around.
Matt Mueller 148 Posted August 29, 2013 I recently received this item thanks to same day delivery. I just wanted to confirm that the free trial for NFL Sunday Ticket actually works. I do not have an account with Directv. The game will come with a username and password that you just enter in. I did have to download the Sunday Ticket app that was specifically made for tablets as the username/password didnt work on the main Sunday Ticket app. Im using the Galaxy Tab 3 8 inch and everything works fine. Tried it out on my laptop also and everything worked!!! Good reviews. Mania is jumping in!!

There is no way they would ever have a service that allowed you to watch all games via the computer.

bigmark3333 11 Posted August 29, 2013 Crap...i dont get it. How does it work? Quote from the guy who made it in the reddit thread: "Game pass is free in the Netherlands and streams all NFL games live. You can watch live games as they happen in HD, or you can go back and watch any game that's happened. Since this is available in the Netherlands for free you need NFL game pass to think your computer is in the Netherlands, which is where AdFreeTime comes in. You make a simple change on your computer, or router and subscribe to AdFreeTime and then you can watch any game live in HD on your computer." If you're interested in the details, you can read the FAQ and How it Works (under About) on Adfreetime's site. The setup is very easy. You can sign up for a free trial on Adfreetime (you get a week free -no credit card info needed- $2/month after that), follow their instructions for setting up the service, confirm the region unlock button is clicked under self service and then just go to the nfl gamepass site and you get access to every single game, redzone, etc. The only issues I've had so far is that when I go between work and home with my laptop, I have to go to their site, click self service and click a button that confirms my IP or else a few websites won't load. I've inquired to them to see if I can get this to autoupdate though. Edit: Here's another link that apparently does the same thing without using Adfreetime: http://www.reddit.com/r/GreenBayPackers/comments/1l2v2y/psa_if_you_have_a_vpn_that_allows_you_to_pull_an/ Haven't tried it yet to confirm though. Busted by the Feds 9 Posted August 29, 2013 I'd settle for the live scores that the NFL Network runs on Sunday afternoon. I just hope they enchance it this year like : Tell us who scored the TD, when they flash a TD scored for a team Cut off all the coaches press cons for the 4:30 games. Or at least put it in a window on the side and continue to run the live scores on the main screen .
bigmark3333 11 Posted August 29, 2013 Is this safe or will I get a ton of viruses or can they access personal information on my computer? I can't confirm 100%, but I think it highly unlikely. I'm just passing along information that I've found useful from the internet. If you don't trust it, read up on it more and decide for yourself whether it's safe or not. Djgb13 2,339 Posted August 30, 2013 I think I'd rather buy the madden game off amazon and get Sunday ticket for free. Then wirelessly stream my laptop onto my tv and watch the games on that. Can you watch the Sunday ticket through your ps3 or Xbox? If so then that would be pretty easy
