p.man 7 Posted November 6, 2013 I just took a quick look at his stats. For being labeled the #1 rec on the team Demaryius has had a very quiet season, but he does have 6 touchdowns and 685 yards rec. He is on pace for around 1300 yards and 11 scores. He has only had 4 scores since week 1 and I do hope he can become more involved in the offense. Week 2. @ Giants Only 52 yards with 0 scores and the Broncos put up 41. Oh Brother... Week 5. @ Dallas. Only 57 yards and 0 scores vs that defense? Ugggg! Week 6. Vs Jax. He has 78 yards at home with 0 Td's. Even more ugggg!! Week 7. @ Indi. 82 yards with 1 Td. I feel better, but the Broncos scored 33 points. I was hoping for more. Greedy I am. Week 8. Vs Wash. 75 yards with 1 score. Okay, he scored two weeks in a row. But!! The Broncos put up 45 points!! Could he have had a better stat line? As the "#1" wr on the team I think he should have. Now lets see what he does this week at home off a bye week vs S.D.. If he has a flat week vs S.D I would be worried about starting him for the next few weeks after that because KC,@NE,@KC are the next 3 games after S.D. There are a lot of weapons for Manning on that team, but they have played 9 games and the motto for other teams who face them has been Welker, Decker,J.Thomas and Moreno. You would think that these teams would focus more on stopping Welker and J.Thomas by now. I hope Demaryius can be the second half of the season MVP.
Skinny_Bastard 157 Posted November 6, 2013 That's wishful thinking. Decker, Welker, Orange Crush and Moreno. Unless he breaks off a ton of LONG TD receptions....we should expect the same.
Tuxedosam 4 Posted November 6, 2013 I feel the same way! it's just like gambling. Just pray he throws to your guy out of all the weapons. But since he throws a lot it gets spread out. But no way I would sit DT no matter the match up.
WMagnum1 4 Posted November 6, 2013 In my ppr keeper league, I had him, Jordy, and Cruz as my starting 3 WRs, but a bad QB situation. The stats told me Thomas was the most expendable to get a QB and so i shipped him off.

I would love to have him on my roster.

The Frontrunner 1 Posted November 6, 2013 The D. Thomas owner in my 14 team, standard scoring league has tried to get me to take him in a trade for Gore first and then later in a offer for Stacy. I definately don't want to get rid of Gore (49ers fan), but I thought seriously about Stacy but i couldn't accept it this week because of bye rb shortage this week on my team. What do you think about a Stacy for Thomas trade next week? My other rb's are Charles, Ridley and Gore. Thomas would start for my team but can I trust week to week? msudavedawg 5 Posted November 7, 2013 Additions of Welker and J. Thomas have cut into his production some. 10th in the league in yardage but 19th in targets and 13th in recs. J. Thomas and Welker have 17 TDs between them so it makes sense why his TD numbers aren't what they could be (plus vulture Moreno). Still glad I have him on my roster. Potential for a big day is always there. Hopefully some monster games to balance out in the second half of the season. Decker owners are the ones really getting screwed. Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted November 7, 2013 Gimme a break. Every WR puts up dud weeks. Every single one. You can't expect 100 and a td or more every week, it's not going to happen. D Thomas is an absolute monster after the catch, one of the very best. He can break one every time he touches the ball. Peyton knows that and tries to get him the ball where he can do something after he catches it. The guy is a stud and if you're complaining about him you're searching for things to complain about. JtmoneyJag 25 Posted November 7, 2013 It is surprising though that teams still focus on him and let Julius Thomas and Welker tear them up every week. Also, they need to throw deep to D. Thomas more then they have. He has speed and can go after the ball. You see his big plays come of screens which is fine, but just think they need to throw deep to him more. I have him on two teams and am definitely not complaining because he is scoring right in line with where I picked him.

I have him on two teams and am definitely not complaining because he is scoring right in line with where I picked him. That is my point. Teams are still focusing on him and allowing Welker and J.Thomas to light them up. Then you add in Moreno and it takes away from Demaryius. Although I also have Moreno, it would be even better for me if D.Thomas had a bigger stat line because I have Charles and Stacy to take up the slack. I want the wr to score bigger points because I know that 1 or 2 of my Rb's will give me the points needed. I understand that he can't score every week, but when the team is scoring in the high 30's and mid 40's almost every week, you would think that he would do much better than 52 or 57 or 78 yards as the #1 wr on his team. FFToday has him in the top 5 every week. Has he lived up to that ranking? His last 2 games he has scored, so I really shouldn't say anything. Oh well, I am greedy. RamFan11 0 Posted November 7, 2013 Ironically I was approached with the same thing. He wants me to give Gore for Thomas. I am in a keeper league and have no plans of keeping Gore. My other RB Are Ap, Rice, A. Brown. I think having Gore or Stacy will provide more consistency down the stretch then what Thomas will provide weekly. Sure Thomas will have some decent weeks but there is just to many weapons there and what makes Manning special is he utilizes them all so it is very hard to que in on one threat or impose a certain defensive scheme. It is not like Detroit with megaton or Chicago with Marshall where he will be force fed the rock to make plays. My two cents....

FakeFoozballIzFun 6 Posted November 7, 2013 I don't get what the complaint is? He's putting up numbers on par with his ADP.
p.man 7 Posted November 10, 2013 Once again....J.Thomas scores and not D.Thomas. This time its a 74 yard Td. Decker just caught a decent yardage pass. Welker too. J.Thomas catches another pass for 18. D.Thomas!!! Finally!!! Yes! Touchdown!!
p.man 7 Posted November 10, 2013 3 weeks in a row now. Just rack up the yardage now and hopefully score again. I feel a little better, but Manning sure does look and throw to every one of his skill players. It's like pulling teeth waiting for him to throw it to Demaryious. From what we've seen, at least once a game DT is there and gets his. It can be frustrating to watch because they don't force it, but each target is much more efficient compared to most teams. It can be a little nervewracking to watch, but at this point we're halfway through the season and he's right on par with his ADP. Hard to complain.

Fireballer 2,641 Posted November 10, 2013 I was a bit nervous watching the Indy game a few weeks ago. Most of the passes going to DT looked weak. I was worried Manning was having an arm problem. The Manning/DT hookup looks sweet now!!!
