We know you have a steadfast rule about straying from a thread's topic. Especially when an answer will make you admit I was 100% right about you. Hehehehehehe

I've proven you wrong on multiple occasions in this thread, it's sad what a fool you're making yourself out to be this morning :(

Feel free to answer the question that Drobeski and RP are afraid to.....do you think Jon Stewart and Bill Maher are funny?

Do you think they are funny because they are liberal? Because if you stack them up to really good comedians, they simply are not funny.

Didn't Newbie first mention politics in this thread?

That's true and from now on I will call out Newbie or other posters who do that because I agree with drobeski, one of many posters here who keeps the politics out of unrelated threads.

Yes I did. I warned Peenie that, because of politics, she won't get an actual assessment from any of the hardcore rightie hacks. I was proven correct.

If she disregards the Faux News crew, there has been some good discussion here regarding his music and that particular song. TDRyan, Bert, MDC, etc have given some non-politically blinded opinions.

Let's see....

Drobeski will bash Springsteen........correct

Drobeski will be afraid to say if he thinks Stewart or Maher is funny......correct

Yeah, you've really proven me wrong. You're like a ventriloquist dummy on my lap. I can 100% speak for you.

Newbie, take a step back and read this thread.

Now think of all the times you and others whine and complain about this board and how threads are ruined and everything turns to politics, so much so a new board was created.

Now read this thread again, let it all sink in........

If by now you can't see why some of us  when you complain about the very same things you yourself do, then I think all is lost.

If you stack them up against comedians whose main schtick is politics, they are pretty funny.

Otherwise I agree.

He is flailing away trying to turn this into a political slapfight.

His hackery has no limits.

Holy fock. What a shocker. KSB running in as the 'voice of reason' (LOLOLOL) when his conservative comrades are taking a beating. I gave a warning to Peenie, and since I was dead-on correct, it angered the predictable righties. I'm sure Peenie is sifting through the hacks and finding the info she's looking for. Thanks for having their backs. Hey sure as hell needed it.

I think Stewart is hilarious. I don't think Maher is.

I don't think flailing means what you think it does. When I make a prediction (well, two actually) and am proven to be 100% correct, I have no need to flail. I'm rather enjoying watching you and your brother blow a gasket because I have you figured out to a t. :music_guitarred:

Springsteen is one of the preeminent songwriters of my generation, so I respect him for that even though I'm not a fan musically of much beyond Born To Run.

Born In The USA was a clunker on a pretty stellar resume, what seems to me to be an unnecessary reach into pop music that I didn't care for much.

Mahar has his moments. Stewart's whole schtick is putting down people who are idealogically different. Much of it is 6 inch putt stuff that appeals to his fans.

The only equivalent I can think of is the redneck comedians and their stuff is rightwing to a degree.

I prefer Louis CK and Jim Gaffigan. Guys who have to work to be funny.

I gave my opinion on several bands Worms listed in a post. Couldn't tell you the political leanings of most on the list.

Why don't you review my opinions and tell all of us how my musical tastes are dictated by politics.

And the Meat Head takes another good topic and hijacks it. There is nothing to see here just a guy dead from the neck up.

The fact that you don't know their political leanings makes your opinion of them irrelevant to my point. If they were outwardly political acts, I'd know your opinion. Just like I already know your opinion on Springsteen, Stewart, and Maher. Piece of cake.

  • interesting thread topic starts.

  • the usual suspects play political little d!ck back and forth for three pages

  • the next 3 pages will be dedicated to the same political little d!cks defending themselves for bad posting that's "not their fault"

  • popcorn and hilarity is once again lost. back to work for TD.

Political humor is generally not my thing, either. It's always angry.

I like Louis CK, too. I'm pretty old school, though I think Chris Rock has some of the funniest standup I've ever seen.

If being 100% correct since post #4 of this thread, and you and your brother posting 30 times each in protest of being so predictable, is taking a beating, then I suppose you're right.

Louis CK is focking hysterical. I really like Bill Burr too, if we're talking contemporary comedians.

I am one and i like Bruce

I won't go out of his way to listen to him (as I mentioned before), but I don't mind him and like some of his stuff...

So much for Newbie and his belief that he was 100% right...

Of course he will only say that he was targeting RP, Phurfur, drobeski and FlaHawker...

Here's my original post:

Peenie, Springsteen is a known Democrat. And because a large majority of the conservatives here can't separate the art from their views, you won't get any positive statements about Springsteen from the hacks. Politics is their life. They don't have the mental ability to see past it.

So only consider the opinions of guys who aren't known Obama haters. They will automatically be Springsteen haters too. It's how the simple-minded operate.

Ithink it's pretty obvious exactly which kind of people I was talking about. Perhaps Mile High Drunk is a Republican. He's certainly not the simple-minded, known Obama thing hack that I was talking about. Hell, I didn't even know he was a Republican. So he's obviously not the Obama hating obsessed kind. It's also already been determined that Chris Christie likes Springsteen. Last I knew, he was also a Republican.

Republicans will not like Springsteen. It's that simple. Simple-minded fools are easy to predict.

Wrong,Springsteen is in my top 5 favorites.Granted I'm not a known republican around here as I tend to avoid political discussions but I love Springsteen and can easily separate my views from his art.He is a great writer and storyteller and a perfectionist when it comes to his music.

Awwww, how adorable. The RepubliTwins returned together to the scene of the crime. Where I predicted what they'd say and made them look like fools. Personally, I admire the two of you for sticking together through this. It had to be embarrassing for you both. Strength in numbers, fellas. Remember that. You can kiss each other's wounds.
