Sadly, not. They were Coptic Christians from Egypt. A poor discriminated against minority that has a belief set more along the lines of Eastern Orthodox.

If Christ didn't exist, or was just another prophet like Mohamed, then why bother with Christians? All it does is endorse Christianity and bring credibility to a religion they feel is not credible.
