brotherbock 349 Posted October 17, 2015 Because they drafted Coleman based on his talent , I think he is was drafted to be their number one guy and right now he is not . I not think they will just let him sit and rust . No I see Coleman getting more work each week as he gets healthier going forward . That happens all the time, though. (And everyone is drafted based on their talent, aren't they? ) For every time a Matt Flynn gets Russell Wilsoned, a Russell Wilson gets Matt Flynned. Not that Coleman couldn't produce, but in a given situation, with jobs on the line, many owners don't want to hear about a guy's talent when a better-producing player is sitting on the bench. (Raiders, you are new to this discussion. Welcome.) Coleman won't be completely shut out, but if Freeman keeps playing like this, and being a huge part of why and how they win, a whole lot of coaches are going to avoid trying to work Coleman in more just because he's talented. Coaches are deathly afraid of risk. You sit Freeman for Coleman too much, and you lose a game...deadly. That fumble this week is the sort of thing that keep coaches up at night, no joke. Agree the fumble doesn't help his cause , but he did avg 10 yards per carry and that will make the coaches look at what he can do when given the opportunity . When the season started Coleman was listed as the number one guy , but than he was injured and Freeman has done a great job taking over , but like you said he will get playing time and of Freeman has one or two bad games watch out . I think they are winning and have a guy to keep riding while he is hot. I don't think Freeman's touches are going to change much other than resting him a tiny bit more towards the postseason. tanatastic 2,062 Posted October 26, 2015 Unreal, and he's not even what he will be when he's fully over the acl. I Can't believe I'm saying this but is it time to start a legitimate TG2K campaign for next year? Someone want to tell me I'm crazy? Anyone want to say that's not a feasible possibility? You said Gurley is a monster like it was some kind of premonition only a sage of unique and rare abilities could have possibly forseen. Like i said, water is wet bud. Sorry if that went over your head.

McLoven 4 Posted October 28, 2015 Imagine what will transpire when Gurley gets a gelled line and passing game behind him. L. Bell is a superb talent for sure with a great passing game behind him and will be #2 off the board next year. IMO Freeman will go top 5 next year but, like a D. Martin or J. Hill will fail to fulllfill expectations. Truth is, we ain't seen nothing like Gurley since Eric Dickerson and Marshal Faulk had a baby with Florence Joyner. Praying for good health and success for everyone mentioned above, and if that be the case..... Gurley will rewrite history next year.
Bobbyn2022 53 Posted October 28, 2015 The OP was spot on! Thank u sir. barber2309 26 Posted November 6, 2015 If anyone is in the mood for a laugh, read rotoworld's latest update on Tre Mason. After discussing him being questionable, they note that they expect him to play this week and serve as the 1b behind Gurley's 1a. In what world are they 1a and 1b?!?? Thats very strange, I havent seen something like that from Roto. Mason is barely the B option.
Bobbyn2022 53 Posted November 7, 2015 Hands down the #1 back next year. I started this post because I was that sure of Gurleys talents. He's gonna go down as one of the best ever if he stays healthy.
BufordT 439 Posted November 7, 2015 Hands down the #1 back next year. I started this post because I was that sure of Gurleys talents. He's gonna go down as one of the best ever if he stays healthy. Players previously hyped by Bobbyn2022: Josh Robinson, Kevin White (compared him to Julio, lol), Sam Bradford (liked him myself), Charles Sims. Then there's the epic fail "Andre Williams will be a Stud" thread started by bobby last year. If I looked harder I'm sure there's more. I'm not saying I'm any better but you need to stop patting yourself on the back. Moral of the story: We all suck at this game but every once in a while we look like semi genius's.

tanatastic 2,062 Posted November 7, 2015 Throw enough turds at the wall and some will be wet and stick. Last year I told people Montee Ball and Gerhart were undraftable. I was chided as people cheered when they got them as their 1st and 4th rnd pick. This year I proclaimed Mason was going to be the surprise RB and Gurley would suck his thumb all year. Win some, lose some. Calling Kelce as a middling TE1 is not a feat worth bragging about. He's been ok, just ok. Diggs and Gurley good call. Thomas too. My point is im all good with bragging about hits as long as misses are tallied as well.
