Sho Nuff 720 Posted October 29, 2015 Starks is now banged up. Lacy has an upward green arrow (in my estimation) for at least a couple weeks. If Starks has lingering issues with the hip, then we are back to the guy we thought we had in Lacy (solid RB1). If Starks comes back healthy, then there will be a RB committee in GB since Starks has shown he can contribute. Roto: James Starks is dealing with a hip injury. The Packers held Starks out Wednesday due to the injury. The severity isn't yet clear, but his Week 8 status should be considered questionable until he returns to practice. Starks will be updated no later than Thursday. Oct 28 - 4:18 PM Returned to practice today...though, was limited in the media portion is what I herd on ESPN Wisconsin
IMMensaMind 462 Posted October 29, 2015 Good timing on the thread. I just pulled a trade in a 12 teamer last week: I traded Andrew Luck and Joseph Randle for Eddie Lacy and Mike Evans. I have Brady. I'm happy with what my lineup looks like now: Brady Ivory Lacy CWest Hillman Spiller TColeman DJohnson Evans Cobb Matthews Diggs JBrown Kelce Eifert Josh Brown MINN D/ST Problem is that I'm ranked 7th @ 4-3, and need to kick it in gear now, as there are three divisions, and the best team is #1 in my division @ 6-1 (though he should have lost last week, but played the lowest scoring team). Only 4 teams make the playoffs. Hopefully Lacy picks it up. I'm torn whether or not I should start him this week though. Right now, I'm leaning Ivory and West as starters, and Hillman as FLEX. My lineup will create lots of weekly questions like this, but at least it's a good problem to have.
Maulers1973 117 Posted October 29, 2015 The other guy responded and is willing to do Jamal Charles for Lacy. I'm in a keeper league and like the idea of having Charles for next year. I have to give him b/u db Chancellor for Tyvon Branch (we use IDP). My other RB are Doug Martin and Lamar Miller so I'm good there. Our trade deadline is kickoff of tonight's game. thewrathofkuhn 40 Posted October 30, 2015 A glucose meter and some lettuce? I would be shocked if he's less than 250lbs right now. thewrathofkuhn 40 Posted October 30, 2015 Chiming in here as a Packer fan and someone who has watched every snap. While you obviously can't score if you're not on the field, a few deep dive analytics and observations.- A lot of this has to do with Tom Clements calling the plays vs. McCarthy, specifically the addition of the pistol to the playbook – something that came on when Rogers was hobbled late last year. We're seeing the same thing in Denver, running backs suffering and RB receptions way down from the move from the Shotgun to Pistol. In fact, GB backs are on pace to see about 50% less targets then last year. - Second, Green Bay's O'line is not playing anywhere near the level of last year – specifically in the run game. Their Adj. Line yards are down about a half yard, which puts them about 15 spots lower in the NFL. Their success running between the guards is waaay down, ranking them in the bottom 5 versus top 10 last year. - Lacy feasted on single back sets last year, his carries were 200% out of that formation versus Shotgun. This year GB RB's are running out of single back as often as shotgun.- Casually you may say that maybe GB isn't running as many plays, passing more or has a lower time of possession, but every statistic that you could attribute to GB's game flow is almost identical to last year. Lacy's bust status and usage would speak to the former points as well as the fact he appears waay out of shape and much larger. Rumors are that in lieu of fining him for not hitting weight (which they can do) they are limiting his snaps until he drops weight. This makes total sense in the long haul if they anticipate keeping him around after 2016, as backs playing at 250+ at his height have a higher history of injury and wear down quicker. (There are exceptions of course!)But ultimately given my last point regarding the offensive balance, I see a market correction coming if he can get back down to 230 or so. More so since GB historically running the ball more as the temperature drops. I think he's a BUY, and personally if Dez can come back strong and/or McFadden doesn't produce I'm hoping to flip Landry or Evans for him before he gets hot. Mr Neil 63 Posted October 30, 2015 After reading this thread I'm thinking of offering Steve Smiff for Lacy straight up. I hate losing Smiff bc he is literally a target monster but I need a solid rb2 and this is the lowest value Lacy can be had at

Mike Nice 40 Posted October 30, 2015 Depending how desperate owner is. I think Lacy , is a huge buy low right now and the move could possibly win you the ship. You have to have some stones to make the move and CANNOT wait until he has a decent game because his stock will rise way back up. Buy before Sunday, as I think GB will run the ball more than you think and Lacy will get 1-2 tds with around 60-70 yards
IGotWorms 4,063 Posted October 30, 2015 If Lacy really is fat and out of shape, then Lacy owners are focked. Went through training camp, pre season, and six weeks of the regular season without slimming down to an acceptable weight? Then it ain't happening, at least not this season
thewrathofkuhn 40 Posted October 30, 2015 I just proposed Landry and Eli for Lacy and Dalton PPR. Also made mention of a Evans for Lacy straight-up. I think Landry for Lacy is where negotiations might turn – which I can stomach given my WR depth and that it seems R Matthews might be stealing some targets, but Landry is a Redzone monster.Manning Jr. Ivory McFadden (FA) Edelman Landry (via trade) Barnidge (FA) Evans –– Dez Hurns (FA) Matt Jones ASJ (FA) Hill

A splendid move. Even if it doesnt pay off you can afford the risk. People are freakin gaga over Maclin after he had those 2 decent game and scored his 1td. He has extremely limited upside imo. JohnFox 2 Posted November 2, 2015 well damn.....you win some, you lose some. I'm most likely to win this week but man that trade looks bad now. Brees going off and Lacy looking halfway decent. And Forte hurting his knee and have no clue yet how long he will be out. Heard multiple weeks with a MCL strain. and Kaepernick was gonna get waived anyways. oh well....live and learn. lol
tanatastic 2,062 Posted November 2, 2015 I think Lacy looked great last night and am confident he gets it together. Dont focus on the stats, trust your eyes. He looked good, its just that Denver is in another league with their defense this year and had a week to rest/plan.
Maulers1973 117 Posted November 2, 2015 He looked a little better, but wasn't finishing off his runs well, not lowering his shoulder. His ankle seems fine anyway. I did the trade and wish I hadn't. It hurts my RB depth this year. I am now basically relying on Martin & Miller and if either gets hurt then I'm focked. Plus, I gave up Chancellor. All to get Charles for next year, who based on price and age and now coming of an ACL, I'm not excited about. I didn't think this one through.
Philo312 41 Posted November 2, 2015 I traded for Eddie earlier this week as well. I offered Gore/Cooks for Lacy/Montcrief. He countered asking S.Smiff/Gore/ & McManus. I pulled the trigger on Thursday. Of course, he cried in his beer yesterday.
Viking14 5 Posted November 3, 2015 He was dropped in my 12 team league!! thewrathofkuhn 40 Posted November 4, 2015 Yet looked just fine running Sunday night. He has been hurt...I'm betting the second half of the year will be much better. Did he? There was only one run – the 15 yarder on his TD drive where I felt he actually had a good read and cut. Beside that he went 10 for 18 which is brutal. H-man 12 Posted November 4, 2015 I am so pissed that Lacy is undroppable in CBS leagues. He's not even considered a top 15 RB ROS by their own rankers, while similarly valued RBs like Forsett and Woodhead are droppable, and I can't even trade him AND Woodhead for a "droppable" player like Carson Palmer because no one wants Lacy.
