DFS - how much have you won?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering who's made some coin playing DFS. Also, which platform was used.

I've gambled around $330 (mostly $10 entries), and am currently down about $90 on yahoo.

I deposited $25 into Yahoo account around week 3, I think. I've got 4 $2 wins and I'm down to my last $4. I stink at DFS! lol

The easiest way to win $ is in the 50/50 games. You don't have a chance at winning $100,000 but what are the odds anyways. If you want to pocket some money stick with them

I agree, 50/50 the way to go. Just beat 10 out of 20 morons and you win. Play it safe, dont swing for the fences. Take sure thing qbs and high floors. Take a solid dst for cheap easy poiints.

I've been playing Draftkings, mostly in the guaranteed tourneys I guess thats what its called. NFL $1.25 Play-Action. So far I've won a little over 253.00 dollars. I have so much to learn. I've never tried the 50/50 mainly cuz I don't understand too much about this DFS. I'm using my knowledge of football and players and so far I've done fair. The first week I had an outstanding lineup. Problem was I didn't copy if completely and it cost me 750.00 dollars...lol.

What is there not to know? Set lineup, pray you outscore. Thats all there is to it.

Lol I think he's looking for an effective strategy. Still fine tuning mine, but I've been scouring each position for value finds (ie volume bumps due to injuries, WR2s when WR1 facing a shut down corner, and anyone low priced compared to projections). I normally have a core group of players that'll be in every lineup, and diversify the other players a bit. Albeit I'm down a little, it's is a new and entertaining work in progress and hopefully we can pool in some great strategies and share our value finds here.

I don't play much, just some entertainment. $10 a week. But I swing for the fences going for the $10K and up prizes, despite the 50/50s being so much easier. I've spent $55 to win $37 so I'm down 18 over 6 weeks. $3 a week for entertainment ain't bad. To me, it's like the lottery - minimal "investment" just for fun, but I could win big. The prizes are smaller, but the odds are better in DFS. All for fun man!

Down only 15 bucks after making a deposit before the season started. Only played small in DFS, but withdrew what I had left after losing the enjoyment from playing it. I enjoy playing season long leagues better.

That's what I've heard. If you're a smart player you can win "most" of them. And if you enter enough....

Yes, so true. I'm so pissed right now though. I'm in Nevada til the end of December and they just shut me down. I can't place any more bets as long as I'm in Nevada. Such a bummer. I didn't do as many Fantasy leagues this year because of daily. Now I guess I'm gonna have to start betting more through the casinos on teams.

That just sounds like a gambling problem

In week one I won $1,500.00 with a $10 entry on fanduel by coming in 5th place out of 11,494 entries!! Pulled most of the money (besides $50) and now back up to $104.. sidenote: Jordan Matthews SCORED that td vs the falcons but dummy chip Kelly didn't challenge it, had he and bradford/matthews gotten the points for that I would have won 6k and if that happened and then Bradford didn't throw that last second int. I would have came in FIRST overall and won over 10k!!! I was sooo angry I didnt win it all but people kept telling me to be happy I won the $1,500 which I did but it still bugs me and will forever haunt me....

Deposited $12.00 on Draftpot 4 weeks ago to try it and I'm up to $47..

Deposited $15.00 on Yahoo dfs 2 weeks ago and currently at $54..

Out of all 3 sites I find -

Yahoo to be the easiest to win 50/50's since it seems more dummies play there.

Draftpot to be the easiest to build great teams with guys being way, way cheaper than other sites (For example Todd Gurley was one of the cheapest rbs, and still about middle of the pack) but the competition is much harder since its not a popular site it's got a lot of good players on it with limited contests.. The "Fan Mode" where you can pick anyone with no salary cap is a fun change too..

And Fanduel to be a mix of dummies and good players, a lot of contests, but with so many "pros" on FD it is less and less fun each week...

I also think instead of doing multiple contests starting at 1pm sunday, it's better to do the Sunday/Monday night gpp contests and do a few with different lineups and hope one of those combos hits it big, since the nfl player pool is smaller the chances of nailing all the best guys is greater...

Dfs as a whole is becoming less fun with all these guys spending like 20k a weekend on lineups they buy from handicappers and knowing the playing field isn't just regular people so I have slowed down with how many contests I enter compared to years past..

P.S. - I have a great plan for the "Next" big thing in fantasy so if anyone knows any good programmers who can build a website let me know and maybe we can all get wealthy off it.!!! Lol

Obv the guys on these forums are all fantasy geeks yet none of us do well on draft kings or fanduel which means it's just luck. It's like a lottery ticket.

The problem for me is the 50/50s are the best way to win, but it is a very boring game. It is like playing blackjack at the casinos. Slow and steady.

The tournies are more fun, but near impossible to win. The big dollars are tempting, but the odds are grossly stacked against most people. It is roulette.

Luck has NOTHING to do with it. The mathmeticians are taking luck out of the equation. You and I can't know that Brees who had been ordinary all season would throw for 7 TD's yesterday. We can't know that some WR or TE we have never heard of will get 2 TD's against the Browns. We know Dalton is good, but which game is he going to have 4 or 5 TD's. The experts and anyone with any knowlede would tell you the Raiders offensive players against the stout Jets D is a bad play. Yet, Carr threw 3 TD's and L Murray had 100 + yards rushing.

They stuff the tourneys with 400-700 entries. This enables them to take the 24 best qb's and max them out with the best RB, WR and Def combos that fit under the budget. There is no guess work. There is very little analysis. It's a numbers game. They pay a LOT, but win a little more than they pay out.
