worm 36 Posted April 15, 2016 After yesterday's big trade what better time to start the board mock NFL draft. We'll use the same format from last year. Each pick is up for debate until any one player gets three votes. Any person can chime in for any team The first player with three votes then becomes the pick and we move on to the next team No trades allowed because that would be too difficult to do without certain persons representing each team. I will update the original post when I can, but once a player has three votes there isn't any need to wait for me to update the pick before moving on. 1.01 Rams - Carson Wentz, QB 1.02 Browns - Jared Goff, QB 1.03 Chargers - Laremy Tunsil, OT 1.04 Cowboys - Jalen Ramsey, DB 1.05 Jaguars - DeForest Buckner, DE 1.06 Ravens - Joey Bosa, DE 1.07 49ers - Myles Jack, LB 1.08 Eagles - Ezekiel Elliott, RB 1.09 Buccaneers - Vernon Hargreaves, CB 1.10 Giants - Ronnie Stanley, OT 1.11 Bears - Shaq Lawson, DE 1.12 Saints - Sheldon Rankins, DT 1.13 Dolphins - Jack Conklin, OT 1.14 Raiders - William Jackson III, CB 1.15 Titans - Taylor Decker, OT 1.16 Lions - 1.17 Falcons - 1.18 Colts - 1.19 Bills - 1.20 Jets - 1.21 Redskins - 1.22 Texans - 1.23 Vikings - 1.24 Bengals - 1.25 Steelers - 1.26 Seahawks - 1.27 Packers - 1.28 Chiefs - 1.29 Cardinals - 1.30 Panthers - 1.31 Broncos -

Mike FF Today 725 Posted April 15, 2016 Ahh yes, it's that time of year again. Thanks for getting this started worm. I think the Goff talk of late is just a smokescreen or a suggestion from the league to not leak the No.1 pick so far in advance of the draft to keep interest up. 1.01 Rams - QB Carson Wentz
Vikings4ever 550 Posted April 15, 2016 3 for Wentz. Browns: QB Jared Goff For years, the Browns have tried to find a QB, but haven't taken in the top 20 since the initial draft of this iteration of the team, Tim Couch. Time to change that.
Vikings4ever 550 Posted April 15, 2016 1.03: Chargers take Laremy Tunsil, OT Chargers need major help on the O-line, might as well take one who might be the best player in the draft.
giraldi02 474 Posted April 15, 2016 I'm going to differ from the majority here for San Diego. I think they take Jalen Ramsey. He's arguably (is there an argument?) the best defensive player in the draft, and I would rate him as THE best player overall.

Vikings4ever 550 Posted April 15, 2016 +1 Jalen Ramsey
giraldi02 474 Posted April 15, 2016 1.04 - Jalen Ramsey. The Cowboys get the best player in the secondary at FSU since Prime Time. Coincidentally, Deion went #5 overall.

Mike FF Today 725 Posted April 16, 2016 Interesting spot here for the Jags. They could go in a number of directions.... 1.05 - Jacksonville Jaguars: Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State
R8RMick 242 Posted April 16, 2016 Latest news on the med re-check has Jack in a freefall. I've truthfully never heard of stitches being used in cartilage surgery to prevent bone-on-bone conditions. http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/04/14/nfl-draft-combine-second-medical-exams-myles-jack-jaylon-smith 1.05- Bosa

Vikings4ever 550 Posted April 17, 2016 Jack is probably the best player available. But he has health issues. Will that scare away the 9ers, who had multiple players retire early? I'll say Chip goes BPA and takes Jack.
giraldi02 474 Posted April 17, 2016 If Jack is there, I think Chip and/or Baalke will take him. Additionally, Lane Johnson was the only offensive lineman drafted in the three years by Chip. He can't stand the line in the pros 1.07 Myles Jack 1.08 Ezekiel Elliott. BPA and a need. Mathews is 29, Sproles 33. Kenjon Barner only other RB on roster. Vikings4ever 550 Posted April 17, 2016 +1 for Elliott
Mike FF Today 725 Posted April 18, 2016 I'll go ahead and cast a second vote for CB Vernon Hargreaves, for the Bucs, although I could see Leonard Floyd being an option as well.
Vikings4ever 550 Posted April 18, 2016 Third vote for Hargeaves. For Giants, Ronnie Stanley
Cruzer 1,995 Posted April 18, 2016 Giants: Shaq Lawson, DE, Clemson
Hardcore troubadour 15,429 Posted April 18, 2016 Giants -Stanley. That will be 3 first rounders and a second rounder on that line.
worm 36 Posted April 18, 2016 Giants 1.10 - Corey Coleman, WR I've been seeing a lot of critical stuff on Treadwell lately (especially PFF), and Coleman is probably a better fit for their system anyway.
R8RMick 242 Posted April 19, 2016 LaQuon Treadwell 1.
Mike FF Today 725 Posted April 19, 2016 1.10 - I'll cast a vote for OT Ronnie Stanley, Notre Dame for the Giants. They need some o-line help in a bad way. Da Bears at 1.11 are on the clock!
R8RMick 242 Posted April 19, 2016 Giants -Stanley. That will be 3 first rounders and a second rounder on that line. Wouldn't think you'd want to remind that Erik Flowers was a first rounder, as he was a disaster last season. Shaq Lawson 1.
Hardcore troubadour 15,429 Posted April 19, 2016 Wouldn't think you'd want to remind that Erik Flowers was a first rounder, as he was a disaster last season. Shaq Lawson 1.11 I disagree. He was a rookie left tackle, who had to do that because of injury. The kid came through it fine.
R8RMick 242 Posted April 19, 2016 I disagree. He was a rookie left tackle, who had to do that because of injury. The kid came through it fine. Well if your claim that 'he came through just fine' means he didn't get Eli killed then yeah, I'm smoking what you're rolling. And I respect your support of your team. But #9 overall is a huge pick for a team. That player should step in and be dominant, or at least contribute significantly, from day one. What's got to hurt even more is the possible fact that the Giants would've taken Lael Collins at #9 if that girlfriend stuff didn't break. Ouch. Well, here's what the experts at Pro Football Focus had to say: 9. Ereck Flowers, OT, New York Giants 2014 PFF College grade: +22.4 (10th-highest OT in class) 2015 PFF NFL grade: -44.1 (76th-highest OT in NFL) Flowers wasn’t horrendous in run-blocking as a rookie, though he didn’t play well, either, grading at -4.0. He was completely overwhelmed as a pass-blocker, though, allowing five sacks, 17 hits, and 47 hurries in 2015. (Sorry to hijack the thread mods, just thought it pertinent.)
