While I did make the 4+5 cuts for Dr. Stangelove and Deep Throat, I've made no picks but my own. If you recall, I did that a few seasons ago when somebody's clock was expiring(was it with Robert Woods? I took) and there was a commotion, a vote, and I know I'm barred from doing that. I would now let the timer expire and go with whoever MFL's ADP kicks out as per the results of that vote.

 

What I may have done, if anything, would have been maybe turn off the draft clock until things were ironed out but that didn't happen either.

I just had a look around the MFL site, and realized I had trade offers I'd missed. Oops!

 

Here's the deal... I avoid that site like the plague. I don't like it, and I manage my team from another site. I only log on there, to make team changes, and set my lineup. I rarely look around. So... you may want to try here, or use the email listed.

I am in a dynasty league on that site and this will be my last year because the site is so horrid I can not play on it any longer. Borderline unusable. This is my third or forth year on it and I hate it. I am like Old Maid is with MFL, only sign on when I MUST.

 

 

I am dropping out of the one I am in that is on ESPN too this year because that site is so bad. This is the league I started playing FF for the very first time, about 18 years ago.

What happened was that after you said that you were coming back in post 25, you went missing for over three weeks both in this forum and the MFL site which keeps track of our activity. Since you weren't around, you had me nervous all week leading up to the draft that you would miss the cutdown deadline and the start of the draft. Still, I'd reserved your spot for you until the very end. And then, when you did miss the deadline, I made cuts for your team and scrambled to give the team away as the draft was in progress.

 

You were here when we first started shaking off the offseason rust. But then you went missing for 23 days up through the cutdown deadline and start of the draft.

 

If you'd returned before Friday, it would have all been forgiven but now I've given the team over to Fandandy. I hate to take a hard line but I'm not inclined to return it to you. You picked the second worst time of year to go missing. When Big Trouble in Little China didn't respond to the call to regather, I found a replacement quickly and easily. With you, I had to dig up a totally unprepared guy as the draft was already in motion.

 

Again MFL time stamps our activity and when the cutdown deadline passed, you'd last checked into the site 22 days prior. I know because I noted a week before the deadline how worrisome it was that you'd been gone for two weeks already at that point and so kept an eye on it in the hopes you'd return.

Last offseason was the second time we'd had no turnovers. This past year we picked up four with posty and MTSkiBum at the tail end of the previous year before rosters were locked and Rockford and Fandandy as the season reopened.

for starters its not taking into account my 0 minute first overall pick. and then you have the issue that I traded into an on the clock pick that had been on the clock for a bit.

What are you guy's thinking of the Erosion/Fandandy situation? I'd like to take the conversation that way. He's been overall a fine owner if a quiet one and has been pulling the right levers to keep his team at or near the top each year.

 

The part about setting up his draft ranking and sending out trade offers can't possibly be true seeing as the "team management" tab, if you follow it to the bottom, shows everybody's most recent log in activity. When I gave the team to Fandandy, it read last sign in time as 23 days.

 

We've never had anyone miss cutdown before until this year when we had two. Although it bothered me too, I didn't freak out so much over 29 Guests approaching (and also missing) the deadline because he'd been at the site a few days prior. I had significantly scarier red flags about Erosion all week leading up to the draft. When I gave his team to Fandandy, he'd been gone for 23 days.

I posted on the Trade board about a month ago asking whoever had the first pick this year what they wanted for it. I also (I think, I could be wrong) officially offered him Mark Ingram and my first rounder for that pick on MFL. He was offered a substantially better deal from someone else and took that.

 

23 days ago sounds right, not disputing that. I had no reason to log in for 23 days because the draft hadn't happened yet. I was on vacation this past week, tried to download the app to make the cuts, couldn't remember my password, and finally logged in...Friday? Saturday? and cuts had already been made. My mistake on thinking the draft started after week 3 of pre-season, not the start of it. MY FAULT FOR SURE.

 

I did enjoy this league, and I just wish the commish had sent me a message asking me if I still wanted in. I thought I made it clear that I did.

 

Once again, no need to vote, I will pull myself out of the league, and FanDandy can have my spot.

At the time, I felt it was necessary to have the league full and I had to act. Now that you're back, the emergency is over and it feels more vindictive. Fandandy has been gracious and I could put him on the waiting list like I did with Rockford.

 

Now, I know Nikki would have your head if she were still here but she's not. The guy that had that team before you was titans&bucs&bearsohmy, one of my very best friends in the forum, and she lit into him for neglecting his team midseason. No mercy. I'm more of a softer touch.

 

Missing those 23 days was bad form. We talk and BS and kick around trade offers. The Geek Club is a horrible place full of malcontent lunatics and I understand that you want to keep your sanity by keeping as far from the place as possible.

You and iam90sbaby were the only two recruited out of the Find a League/ Fill a league. Thanks to this league, 90sbaby posts there now. I realize that I'm personally responsible for permanently warping him forever. There's something seriously wrong with the rest of us for willingly posting there, but it also means that we know each other while you are more of an stranger to us.

 

So since he's in there now, that leaves you and those 23 days are the dues you're expected to pay be one of the guys by pretending the rest of us are actually sane.

I would say erosion keeps his spot if he indeed had offered trades. His only mistake was not making cuts, but like I said before this is a non mandatory cut league. You don't have to cut anyone if you don't want... you simply wouldn't draft. Perfectly solid strategy if you like your team and don't have a high pick [just like I didn't before acquiring 1.1]

 

It's nice for people to check in leading up to the draft but can't force anyone to visit the league page frequently so the 23 days thing doesn't bother me... it's not the best form so maybe a bylaw needs to be implemented...

I just checked the Transaction Log and I offered Mark Ingram, Cecil Shorts, and my first rounder for for Cannibal Holocaust's 1.01 pick.

I also activated Charles and Ingram off of I.R.

Both of those things happened August 4th.

 

I made some pre-draft rankings on August 26th-ish but they got erased/edited. That's fine, just wanted to point out I did check in and was ready to draft, even if I was a day or two behind. Sorry about that.

 

I'm fine with the drops that someone else made (most are bums), other than dropping my only Kicker, and one I actually liked (Dan Bailey.)
