That being said, I would like to see fandaddy get a team in this league. It seems like there are 4-5 active members, and everyone else just shows up when they happen to think about it.

It's stinks of alias. Johnson Rose had a lot of posts, too. And he was an alias. This guy feels like that. I'm pretty sure fandandy even said at one point he was an alias of someone, but I'm not going to go back and search. He showed up around the time of the GF meltdown, and he just reeks of all the aliases that were created at that time. Some were GF and some were not.

It's complicated because he just got drafted but only because shotsup's timer expired. And that's further complicated because the site was down for a few hours. I know I couldn't access it for a long time.

The site was down for many hours during which or soon after, Shotsup's timer expired and a pick 3.2 was assigned to him. It was MTSkiBum's pick at 3.3.

 

I reverted the draft one spot. The timer is now off and will remain off until Shotsup raises from his puddle of drool and booze and makes his pick.

I think it may be time to revisit our bylaws and have some things concretely written down to avoid these issues in the future.

 

We may also want to discuss having a cut down deadline followed by about a week before the draft begins. Honestly having cut down deadline and draft start at roughly the same time can be confusing and is the cause of why we scrambled to find a new owner.

 

If cuts were due a week before draft, we could have had that week to find erosion before replacing him and could have allowed some wiggle room for the replacement owner to make their own cuts during that cushion week.

I do realize that Fandandy gets some grief over in the forums over his identity so that's nothing new and it followed him here.

 

I've got a story for you. We've got some people in this forum that'll remember / confirm it. A few years ago, Big Guy (under his old user name of Little Rusty) joined 12Geeks. Now, when he joined, I didn't post any objections publicly. I thought that would be inappropriate. But behind my computer screen, my reaction was along the lines of "Fock. What an ass! There goes the neighborhood." Check out his posts and draw your own conclusions. But regardless, he was in and as the year progressed, it turned out, I couldn't be more wrong. Whatever his posting leaves to be desired, Big Guy a first rate FF owner. Even though his team was injury plagued and near the bottom of the standings, he was active on trades and waiver wire and he scrapped and fought and built the team all season. It wasn't his fault all his team went to IR and some owners just give up but he was everywhere making moves. I loved playing with him and I wish all FF owners were like that.

 

Big Guy surprised me and he taught me a lesson such that I don't want grudges from the main forum to be here. The guy may be nuts but politics be d@mned, if he ever wanted to join this league, I'd be thrilled and I suspect when you found out what he had to offer, so would the rest of you. I like the energy of a guy fills my inbox full of trade offers. His positive attitude even in adverse circumstances. I can't say fandandy is like that but I can say that he's done right by me twice in the last few days. He did so with grace and class both times. I owe him a debt of gratitude and if he's not been burned out on us, and what transpired these last few days, he will be welcome here the next time we have an opening.

It would make sense for the person you are trading with to throw in their last pick. It is not like they could use the pick if they do the 1 for 2.

I also activated Charles and Ingram off of I.R.

Both of those things happened August 4th.

 

I made some pre-draft rankings on August 26th-ish but they got erased/edited. That's fine, just wanted to point out I did check in and was ready to draft, even if I was a day or two behind. Sorry about that.

 

I'm fine with the drops that someone else made (most are bums), other than dropping my only Kicker, and one I actually liked (Dan Bailey.)

When Bruce Ellington and Carson Wentz went earlier in the round, I was more at peace. I'd have kicked myself if they slid.
