Whats the thoughts on this guy overall? Does he remain the bell cow here? Who is better? He averaged 8.6 yards a carry on 11 today and over 5.5 ypc last week w over 20 carries. He is averaging almost 7 yards a carry on last 30 plus carries. He might be this years Justin Forsett, for reAlz.

He looked good. Gotta take it with a grain of salt cause Wash run D is bad though. Dixon looked pretty sluggish.

Yeah- agreed. Not sure what they were thinking. They should have pounded it 25 times to him. He would have broke one at best, at worst kept them honest.

Yeah, at 8 yards per carry, you shouldnt be throwing the ball much at all.

 

You should be running the ball until they prove they can stop you.

That's the million dollar question. there is no guarantee that the current starter remains the starter. I'd suggest the status quo will remain for the first week (maybe two) then he will start to make changes he wants to the offense.

C'mon dude ... Ozzie is still trying to defend dropping $20+ M for the Super Bowl that Joe Flacco delivered

 

Seriously though, I agree. They need to be a balanced offense - one that takes the occasional shot to Wallace/Perriman and uses Smith/Pitta underneath. Their defense is good enough to grind a lot of games out.

Last I recall Mornhinweg ran very run heavy offenses with the Ryan Jets.

I don't think his schedule ROS is too tough. He has as many games against teams that have been mediocre to bad against the run (Pitt, Cleveland, Cincy, NYJ) as he does against teams that have been strong against the run (Dallas, Miami, Pats, Eagles).
