Another one? :shocking:

Will we get equal shares of the new coin, like what happened with Bitcoin Cash? That turned out to be quite a windfall for people who held onto their BTC. <_<

Exactly like BTC. Yeah everything I read online about the BTC split didn't say ANYTHING about you would get a equal amount of BCH (which is all they had to say to be clear I think they were purposely misleading). Even the Coinbase update was misleading. But yeah from here on out if there is a hard fork split leave your money on that coin during the split. If it is soft fork then pull out.

Not entirely sure. I do know my bot that I have running on ETH/BTC got a buy signal around 1:30am and I am assuming the bot I am using isn't the only one that was triggered.

Also did you hear there is probably going to be a split of Ethereum soon?

I'll send you a PM. need assistance please

Mookz how you doing this past week?

Good man! I've been busy holding and buying/selling cryptos, ETH mostly. My original Coinbase purchases of ETH have an average cost of $311, so it's nicely above that right now and steadily climbing.

It's funny watching this USDT exchange on Poloniex. It's like the coins take turns goin' to the moon, then floating back down to earth. Latest one was Monero, holy jeez. I stick pretty much with ETH, like I said, but it's so tempting to try to predict the next spike.

I did have one question for you. I ended up with 800k MNY. I don't see it anywhere on Waves anymore, I'm guessing because the ICO is over (i.e. the entire supply has sold). Is there any way of knowing how much MNY is worth? Or are we basically waiting and hoping for it to be added to an exchange? If this thing ever reaches even a hay penny, I'll be sittin' pretty. B)

Awesome man, I figured you were at this point. Congrats on sticking with it and not panic selling.

You won't know till everything is complete. But from the hype around MNY you will easily double your money. I invested in Tezzies a month or so ago and found out I won't be able to access the coins for 4-5 months. Just join the Monkey.Capital newsletters and when they are available they will let you know.

By the way apparently Mark Cuban dropped millions this past week on a "hedge fund crypto currency" pretty sure it was Monkey.

Dipped my toe in this stuff a while back when you guys were discussing it, have 10 LTC @ $37 6 ETH @ $256.

Should have bought more LTC, seems to be on fire. That was a few grand that I had available though, wasn't comfortable spending any more at the time. I do wish I would have gotten to 10 ETH though at around $256, I like that round number better than 6..

Good job! LTC won't ever be that low again. It has proven to be the most stable over time as well. Just keep holding those bad boys for 5-10 more years.

350 is still really low for ETH I know it seems high because it is close to it's all time high. But trust me it isn't if it's when Ethereum takes the lead in the crypto game. Look into who created Ethereum. Dude is from Mars seriously.

Something else I read interesting this past weekend and I think even Alias Detective will appreciate this:

If you add up all the milliononaires in the world there are around 35 million millionaires. There are only going to be 21 million Bitcoins. There aren't even enough Bitcoins for all the millionaires in the world.

Man, starting to feel that way..

Would like to pick up a few more but, that price is a bit steep for me.. Kind of silly to stress about the cost of ETH when I am up 1k between ETH & LTC though.

I will assure you of this. I'm a buyer of ETH below $150 if it ever happens again. If it doesn't drop that low again, I am ok missing this boat..

Congratulations so far. Honestly.

Meh... that focker is too unstable. Have fun... I'm sure you'll be a millionaire sooner than later.

In the time we've been talking about ETH on May 28th on, I've added $15,954.74 to my retirement account

$5,856.50 in contributions + $10,098.24 in growth.

So.. meh... I'll take my 20 year compounding interest vs. Get rich quick.

If you invested $5,856 in Ethereum on May 28 you would have a value of $12,800USD in your account right now. While it isn't as much in addition to that if you would have invested $5,856 in Ethereum on May 28th in just over two weeks on June 12th the account value would have grown to $13,200USD. Ethereum or crypto currencies aren't a "get rich quick" scheme. Crypto currencies and blockchains in general far exceed the value you will get from any compounding interest. Let's see what $5,856 on May 28th would have gotten you around November/December Ethereum split. I am calling a price of around $1,000-$1,500.

Oh you mean in November/December when you get rich quick? Haha.... relax kid. I'm sure you're going to be a bajillionaire. The way it's playing out just isn't for me. And your Cypto Currencies and blockchain schemes I'm sure are going to make you rich, keep at them. You're going to generally far exceed the value of compounding interest for sure.

We can compare big diicks in 20 years.

I bought a new laptop on overstock.com a few weeks ago with cryptos. Target is now accepting cryptos, Burger King as well. The list goes on and on and on and it grows every single day. You don’t need to “sell” them. They have value in and of themselves. The almighty dollar only has value because the Fed says it does.

One of two things will happen. Either the US government bans crypto’s which short term, yeah they benefit and the dollar keeps its value. But 10-20 years from now technology wise the US will be a third world country if they do that. It’ll never happen. There is no future without blockchain. Or they embrace it.

Not sure what one has to do with the other, it should be understood that retirement money is the priority.

If you have a 401k or an IRA, we've all benefited from the stock market(s) upswing. That really isn't news.

Investing in these sort of ventures always carry risk. I wouldn't have even looked into it if it wasn't for this thread, I appreciate the legwork iam90'sbaby has done on this stuff.

I'm sure Rainman has already fully funded his Roth prior to dumping all his money into cryptos, but his whole "absolute sure thing" attitude is juvenile and misleading to the guys. All's I'm saying is don't bet that this is what you ride to you're golden years. Slow and steady wins the race rabbit.

It is an absolute sure thing. You don't understand blockchain and thats why you don't see it that way. It is your naiveness not mine. I have not mislead anyone. I know blockchains and crypto are the future. Try and keep up. I'm the guy screaming at you to invest in computers in the 80s or mobile phones in the 90s. Some got it and those who invested won big, those who ignored it missed out but ended up owning a cell phone anyways because without one you can't function in society. The financial system you are putting your money into are far more corrupt than any decentralized crypto. But hey I get it old crowds always have trouble accepting new technologies. You are also a government employee of course you have a strong bias against something that goes against their system.

I signed for $25,000. Never played in the bigs and didn't play long enough for any MLB pension either. All my scratch is from my second career. In fact, I lost my signing bonus after investing it in Lucent Tech in 1995 and rode it all the way up and all ththe way down to a whopping 5,000 right now. I've lived the good and bad in the markets. can and will happen

We know guy, you never miss an opportunity to let us know how "well" you're doing.

I make a decent chunk of change and live out in the burbs. Most of us are doing just fine and don't have to broadcast it.

I think I probably don't realize it sounds like bragging. I grew up in government housing with a single mom on an Indian Reservation, food stamps, government cheezes. So.... for me to talk about sh!t, I'm still incredulous at my current lot in life. Also when I ask about money sh!t it's seriously because I don't focking know. I didn't/don't have anyone who knows a focking thing about retirement. I know nobody who has ever retired. I know no one who ever had an IRA. So... I guess I realize it sounds like bragging, but for the most part, I don't know what the fock I'm doing and there are like a hundred dudes on here but probably know more financial, banking, retirement sh!t than I ever will.
