Projections for Kareem Hunt tonight vs. Patriots

Recommended Posts

Yeah, It's usually the best way to go. I was obviously wrong on the game script and Hunt exceeded expectations... by a lot. Anyway, just came back in to eat crow it was a good discussion regardless of how stupid Hunt's performance made me look.

To give you some credit, even the most optimistic person wasn't expecting what he did last night.

Ok now that we have called each other out and patted ourselves on the back...

Do we try selling high?

There's always a group that wants to sell high after a new player has a great game. Sometimes it can pay off. The only way I would consider trading Hunt is if I already have two decent starting RBs and need WR help. I would only except WRs like Jordy, Evans, OBJ and AJG.

I just happen to have DJ and Elliott with Hunt on my bench on one team. I have to wait on the Elliott forecast but if he can play the whole season I would try trading him for a top WR.

The only think that concerned me was west scoring that last TD...

I think you are overanalyzing.

the game was largely over at that point and they gave west a couple of carries. He will not be the main weapon here. He goes in when Hunt needs a breather.

and that's fine.

dont sweat it man.

you see what Hunt Did today? why would you sit someone who plays like that? You dont. that's the answer. not unless you have to.

I know he was good...but man...he looked like the next LT out there last night.

But i agree with many...this is a hold and not a week one sell high.

I don't think I've ever sold a KC RB.

After reading through this I'm not sure I could trust anyone's advice here. Best just to stick with my own gut feeling.

You can always trust me man.

And when all else fails, ALWAYS do the opposite of what weepaws says.

Don't sell this one. Enjoy the pick you made this season.

I agree with this. Unless you think Hunt isn't going to maintain at least high end RB2 for the rest of the season, why would you get rid of him?

The only reason west was in on that play was because hunt just ran 58 yards on the play before and needed a break.

Hah..just say you got lucky starting him. 18 carries at 4 yards a carry in the preseason (3 yards less per than what west had in preseason).....

C'mon brah, of course I got lucky. 90% of this game is half mental. I was happy as hell after the 1st TD...that would have been fine with me. The rest was sweet, sweet icing.

Buuuuut, I knew I had a choice between him and Mixon in my dynasty. So I watched each and every snap they both had in preseason, and watched them handy youtube highlight clips and was really torn. I think Mixon is a stud as well. The tie-breaker for me was.....Reid. He milks his bellcows, and I knew eventually Kareem the dream would moo for me baby. When Ware went down it was time for Andy to pull up a stool and pull them teets!

Yes NE has a good D, but KC was pretty damn good last year too. I really had no doubts about starting him, and my other options weren't all that great. So here I sit with 40.6 pts in standard.
