Mike FF Today 611 Posted February 16, 2018 Jason Katz is going to do a 4-part series on early player rankings, highlighting the four main skill positions. We'll do one position a week over the next month. Up first are the QBs... Quarterbacks - 2/16/18 Tight Ends - 2/23/18 Running Backs - 2/28/18 Wide Receivers - 3/6/18
weepaws 2,516 Posted February 17, 2018 Love the opening statement about J Garoppolo. Yeah I'm doing it. M
Smileseers 54 Posted February 17, 2018 Nice article and a good starting off point. I'd like an explanation of why Drew Brees is not a QB1 next season??? Again I will be in no hurry to draft a QB.
weepaws 2,516 Posted February 17, 2018 I think one reason would be because Bress was only 15th in points per game last season.
Mike FF Today 611 Posted February 17, 2018 Nice article and a good starting off point. I'd like an explanation of why Drew Brees is not a QB1 next season??? Again I will be in no hurry to draft a QB. He was around 11th in total FPts for QBs in most scoring systems and just outside the top 12 in FPts per game. The Saints ran the ball more last year and I don't see them getting away from that gameplan next season assuming Ingram and Kamara are healthy. You can drop Jason a note in the comments section of the article and he can give you his specific thoughts.
redsrback 30 Posted February 19, 2018 I agree, but teams will be more focused on the run now that the Saints are leaning so much now.
weepaws 2,516 Posted February 19, 2018 I would agree, but doesn't mean that Bress will be able too just take over like he has in the past. Everyone has that time when they start to decline, and we might be seeing that mr Brees. Atleast it looks like it.
Super Cubs 134 Posted February 20, 2018 This means Brees is almost certain to bounce back. As a Brees owner I've fallowed fftoday ranking of him closely through the years. The past few years fftoday ranked Brees as if father time was catching up with him and he would still finish top 3. 2017 they ranked him in the top 5 and he finished out if the top 10. redsrback 30 Posted February 20, 2018 Going forward for the Saints will be interesting now that they have a better Defense. Any Saints homers with insight on the direction of the team with money and contracts.

Rivers I'd really like to know the scoring format. Are all TDs 6pts? How many points per rushing yards? Rushing TDs score what? In my league all TDs are 6pts with 1pt per 10yds rushing. Is Cam undervalued or overvalued in that format?

In my league all TDs are 6pts with 1pt per 10yds rushing. Is Cam undervalued or overvalued in that format? This would be based on passing TDs = 4 pts, rushing TDs = 6 pts, 10 rushing yards = 1 pt I feel Cam has a bit more value when rushing yards/TDs are worth more than your standard passing TDs

weepaws 2,516 Posted March 1, 2018 I would take McCoy ahead of Henry. I think Mccffery could move up one too two spots with Stewart being let go. And I think a healthy Freeman could be a top ten rb. Thanks.

Thanks. No concerns Coleman limits Freeman's productivity too much?
weepaws 2,516 Posted March 2, 2018 Sure there is, but I thought that last two seasons also. Remember they did pay Freeman some good money. I think he was unhealthy most of the season last year, plus a new OC. I think he could be in lind for a rebound season. Coleman is the biggest problem, but he can't stay healthy either. weepaws 2,516 Posted March 7, 2018 Don't see how M Thomas is worthy of a top four ranking. I think his rec total will drop next season based on the why the team is leading more on the run. Brees had is worst ff output in like ten seasons, I see that trend continuing going forward.

Brees had is worst ff output in like ten seasons, I see that trend continuing going forward. For me, I'm not touching Tyreek Hill with a 10' pole. Not because I don't like him, but because I'm not taking a WR in the first round who has a rookie QB throwing to him. Similar with Thielen & Fitzgerald. I need to see who their QB is before I consider them a WR1. After free agency, we'll start to have a much clearer picture.
Hardcore troubadour 12,958 Posted March 7, 2018 Man RB is deep. What a difference a couple of years makes. Going WR-WR is a thing of the past

Loaded Box 5 Posted March 8, 2018 Added the top 15 WR piece today. Like the rankings, but Tyreek Hill at No. 5 with an unproven QB is risky! Here's what I currently have: 1. Antonio Brown, Pit 2. I am totally going RB in the first and second rounds with possible exceptions to Brown, Hopkins, and Thomas at the right draft slot.

I think if M Williams can stay healthy he alone will hurt Allens rec total next season. I think Adams could be a 80 plus rec guy with 12 plus tds with Rodgera back. Agree about T Hill. I'm not on board wi his number five ranking at all.
weepaws 2,516 Posted March 8, 2018 M Evans is a sweet deal at number 11. If Jimmy G of the Niners is a top 12 QB like a lot of folks think he will be, where would you rank P Garcon. I think he could be in the top 15.
the spanker 28 Posted March 11, 2018 Jason Katz just wrote a new article giving us his top 24 ppr overall ranking as of today. Keenan Allen or LeSean McCoy are not ranked in his top 24. weepaws 2,516 Posted March 11, 2018 I still easily have McCoy in my top ten. In ranking Allen iim taking into account the impact I think M Williams if healthy can make. I have him just outside my top 24. Plus I'm not as excited about the Chragers as I was last season.

TBayXXXVII 2,203 Posted March 12, 2018 Talent-wise, Gordon is the #2 or #3 WR off the board. It's the off-the-field history that brings him down. I'd probably put him in the 2nd round only because I'd want an idea of how I'm starting my team off. If he plays this year completely free of issues, in 2019, based on his production this year, he could be my #2 WR overall.
