Todd Beamer, Mark Bingham, Tom Burnett and Jeremy Glick. Wildcard

 

 

All four of these men, and the other passengers of United Flight 93, helped save countless lives and further tragedy on September 11, 2001 by fighting back against the terrorists that hijacked their plane. These four men used their cell phones and in-flight phones to call their loved ones and authorities after hijackers took over their plane. It was then that they learned of the two prior attacks on the World Trade Center. After assessing the situation, the four men rallied the other passengers to fight back against the terrorists, resulting in the plane coming down in a field in Shanksville, PA.

 

While everyone aboard died, their sacrifice undoubtedly saved others and prevented another American icon from being destroyed though no one knows for sure, experts believe the plane was likely intended to be flown into the White House or the Capitol Building.

6 weeks after 9/11 We went to Kiawah Island SC for our daughter's baptism near our in-laws. The in-laws threw a party which included Glicks widow and newborn, apparently Glicks parents had a place there. That was a surreal circle of life moment. :thumbsup:

I dont know much about literature, I am not much for that book readin stuffs, but what about someone who writes a history book or something, cause above it said something about auto-biography, but I used Dr. Spock and his book I would say is non-fiction as well

Uncle Tom's Cabin is a heartbreaking novel about the cruelty of slavery. It was a hugely popular book of the 19th century.

 

Even though the hardened anti-slavery sentiment and in turn, sent many northern whites to their deaths to in part end slavery, modern liberals in their highmindedness don't care about that and hate it anyway.

 

Liberals are offended because it's very Christian positive, it depicts black sterotypes like mammy caregivers, pickaninny children, and then Uncle Tom, a deeply Christian man, for being too loyal and faithful a slave for some horrible despicable owners who on his death forgives his many, many abusers in a very Christ-like manner.

In hindsight it was less than 6 weeks; That was the time from her birth (7/31) until 9/11. That was the year the DBacks beat the Yankees in the WS, and we watched the DBacks vs. Braves during the party. So it was probably only a few weeks after 9/11. Still surreal tho. :(

In hindsight I should have done anything to attend one of the games.

 

Back then my main FF league had a "supplemental" draft mid season. We did it at a wing place when Byung Yung Kim blew one of his 543245 saves vs. the Yankees. My best friend in the league is/was a Yanks fan and I had to sit there listening to him talk trash while we drafted mostly worthless players. :wall:
