BobSanders_33 127 Posted November 7, 2018 I'm crazy for sleepers. Every year someone comes out of nowhere to make a huge fantasy impact at the end of the season. I'm going to throw out someone that people aren't talking about. Ty Montgomery. My case for him is that Baltimore has never really been sold on Collins. We've seen them go away from him several times and work being given to Buck Allen. Collins has ball security issues and Baltimore seems to want a 3 down back with receiving skills. Baltimore has scaled back the work of Allen. They even put Gus Edwards in early last week. Now Montgomery comes in with a team that will be out of any playoff contention and potentially deciding what they will do in the future. Add that along with what may be the best rushing schedule in the league coming after the bye. It is a purely speculative add and deep bench stash. If you have the space it wouldn't be a bad idea to throw out a couple of dollars of FAB. This is the time of year to roster the upside league winners. LaChup 229 Posted November 7, 2018 He was definitely a sleeper on his last play in Green Bay. I think he woke soon after though.
Brutal Brutus 182 Posted November 7, 2018 Kenneth Dixon may be coming back to add to the RBBC.
BobSanders_33 127 Posted November 7, 2018 It sounds like Dixon got popped again for substance abuse so he won't be back. To the "he isn't that good". Maybe. He was PFF's #1 RB for eluded tackles in 2016. He was brilliant in week 15 that year absolutely shredding Chicago for 16/162/2. Then fast forward to 2017. There was some talk about a full off season at RB and what he could be with his receiving skill set. Montgomery starts the year: Seattle- 19/54/1 and 4/39/0 @Atl- 10/35/1 and 6/75/1 Owners had to be feeling pretty good at that point. Unfortunately Montgomery couldn't stay healthy and the you RBs in GB starting getting work. I think that the Ravens have wanted another Ray Rice type RB that can catch the ball out of the backfield and play on all downs. That was what the Woodhead pickup and Dixon draft choice was about. Flacco is comfortable targeting RBs out of the backfield. Collins doesn't fit that mold. Add to that Collins really isn't running well being sub 4 yards per carry in 7 of 8 games. Maybe Collins comes off the bye and eats up the Bengals D. It is possible they turn to Lamar Jackson (not good for a pass catching RB). But if Collins struggles against the Bengals and they decide to give Montgomery a look he is in line for Oak, ATL, KC and TB. That is a prime stretch.

Gonna try to pick him up and put him on the end of my bench.

DrG 102 Posted November 11, 2018 To be seen. Rookie qbs often favor the tight end and the checkdown.

murf74 461 Posted November 14, 2018 ??? He is not a RB is my message. I would take any RB in NFL over this fool. Cant believe Balt will use him like a RB

Cant believe Balt will use him like a RB I'm not interested in his title, I'm interested in what he can do on the field particularity as a dynamic weapon (pass-catcher). xxxdog 23 Posted November 14, 2018 General Manager Ozzie Newsome made the push to obtain Montgomery in attempt to spark the RB position, and its well known Harbaugh had enough and is upset with the present situation....Montgomery has shown flashes of decent combo talent while in GB and doubt he will only be used as backup in Baltimore ...Expect a nice return in PPR if he is on waivers in your league, he should be a key to the Ravens offense....

bobjay00 22 Posted November 15, 2018 Picture Javouris Allen/A Collins with more power inside running and tougher to bring down in the open field. They didn't trade for him to sit behind their current RBs. The only question IMO, is he capable of picking up their offensive playbook which will indicate how many touches he gets. I also picked him up as fantasy playoff insurance as a #3/4 RB in a PPR league.
edjr 6,578 Posted November 16, 2018 https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/ty-montgomery-could-be-a-difference-maker-in-ravens-offense-after-bye Is he playing QB?
the spanker 28 Posted November 16, 2018 Is he playing QB? At the very least he will take over Buck Allen's role which is money in ppr.
