California Trying to Increase Already Astronomical Cost of Living

Recommended Posts

It's like, how can we get even more people of wealth to move out of our welfare state, like hey....there is still more space to live on the street, so lets get some poor people defecating out there!!

So they want to take money away from the companies that provide goods and services as well as jobs to the people of California, making the government richer and having more power over the people, all in the name of income inequality?

Why does California fvck around so much? Why don't they just separate from the US, come right out and say they are a full blown socialist country, raise taxes to 70%, and tell their subjects what they will be needing and what they won't be needing for the rest of their lives

I love when they say CEO makes xxxx times more than median employee salary.  Seattle Times did the same smear campaign against Howard Shultz, CEO of SBUX.

Guess what?  When the majority of your corporation employees are focking minimum wage Disney staffers and tattooed/pierced baristas OF COURSE the CEO makes a sh1t ton more!!!!!

I hope Walt Disney visits this ungrateful fat kvnt of an heir and terrorizes her Charles Dickens style.

There has to be a better way though. Is Iger really worth 66 million for one year of work? The shareholders of these companies should be regulating that, not the state. If Iger quit tomorrow Disney would be fine. I don't know why they pay these guys that much. I know how, but they should really change their compensation formula. These guys can't be worth it.

Honest question.  How do all those illegal alien's afford to live there?  Welfare programs can't be 'that' good can they?

They live in small cheap apartments in groups of 5 or more and work under the table jobs, such as in restaurants and landscaping, etc. They work multiple jobs, pay no taxes, send most of their money back to their families in Mexico for saving.

I knew dozens of them back in my restaurant and bar work years.

And that's preferable compared to where they came from?    Fock that.

Yes.  And it is getting worse with the cartels taking more and more control from the government.

Agreed, they are lying with statistics.  Heck, using their own numbers, if $66M is 1424X the median, the median is $46.3K, or $23+ per hour for a full time job, which many of them aren't.  I'd venture to wager that the median Disney employee is more likely to be shoveling shiot behind a parade than designing the next Imagineering ride.

Not even close that it's preferable. To slave away in this country than live poor in Mexico

Those jobs are also temporary for a significant portion of the staff.  They're minimum wage jobs that go up for those who stick around longer, but they will eventually leave and their pay will be replaced by a new minimum wage employee.  So yeah, you're exactly right, no sh!t that CEO's make a ton more than their employees.

The CEO in my company I guess makes a ton more than I do. And I love my yearly salary. It has been personally financially liberating throughout my years.

And I love the fact that the stock I am allowed to buy twice a year at a discount has been going up incredibly and steadily since 2003 when I joined.

Give the fvcking CEO all they want, it's working out for me big time.
