Your average was 18.8. Heck, my average was 15.6 and you still finished ahead of me because of the stage points. 5-points had an average of 8.8 and everyone ahead you had picked a better overall group of drivers with a higher finishing average. It's just Nascar's scoring that's what the winner gets 40 points first place, 35 second, then 34, 33... But the winner also gets (a pretty much) automatic spot in the playoffs and 5 bonus points per win that carries over in each round of the playoffs. Because the stage winners earn 10 points, they can outscore the race winner, that doesn't make much sense to me. Chastain finished first, got 43 points. Ryan Blaney finished 6th and scores 47.
