How can cases be spiking, daily, since the beginning of covid?

They haven't been spiking daily "since the beginning."   They spiked in the beginning, declined in May, then spiked again in the first half of the summer.  Then declined again from about the end of July through September until now spiking again.

However I don't think there have been many local areas seeing multiple "spikes."  I think the national spikes are mostly just the result of different local areas spiking at different times.

I saw a line of several hundred cars on Wednesday waiting to get into the county health building for a free COVID test.

It looked like a funeral procession, cars lined up for several miles.

These are people who don't even feel symptoms, because if they did they would be going to a medical facility not a county admin building, and getting tested and treated.

These are just useful focking idiots who see the news and are worried they probably have COVID because it is spiking, and it will kill their entire family because they see body counts updated in real time on every news outlet.

So they go wait in line for hours for a test despite no symptoms. 

Testing goes up, cases go up.

Cases are meaningless. But very scary for morons.

My job is requiring weekly testing regardless. so my guess is about 80% is healthcare workers

Any time a few more cases pop up its spiking!!!! Runnnn!!!!!!

Also, Mayo tests me just about every week.  I’ve probably had 10 (negative) tests in the past 3 months.  Each one is 1.5 hours out of my life because I have to drive 40 minutes one way to get to Mayo.

A buddy at work claimed that he knows three people that registered for a free covid test, got in one of these long lines and then got tired of waiting and just left.  Then, according to him, they all got positive covid test results in the mail 3 days later.

I have been tested twice at work and everyone else that has been going in.100+ tests, not 1 positive
