He would be the second person from Generation X on a ticket (Paul Ryan) or the first Generation X president / veep. Notably, Generation X is considered to be those that were born from 1965-1980. Among winners, JFK, Nixon, Ford, Carter and Bush41 were all in the Navy. EIsenhower and Reagan were in the Army. Bush43 was in the Texas Air National Guard. Among losers, John Kerry, John McCain, Ed Muskie and Adlai Stevenson were in the Navy. Bob Dole, Jack Kemp, Michael Dukakis, Walter Mondale , Spiro T Agnew, George Wallace, Barry Goldwater, William Miller, Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr., and John Sparkman were in the Army. Sargeant Shriver was in the Navy. Lloyd Bentsen and George McGovern and Curtis LeMay were in the Air Force. Ron DeSantis was in the Navy. Only 2 men listed won a bronze star. JFK and Ron DeSantis. As for the winner of the November 2024 election, Trump if he wants to do the Grover Cleveland thing, otherwise DeSantis. Clearly, Libyans hold lesser value to you than Americans. But you get all bent out of shape about Putin fighting a war with Ukraine. The democrats were all bent out of shape that we were selling arms to groups instead of putting our own boots on the ground. They wanted to destroy Oliver North and Ronald Reagan for it. If Reagan fights a war without US troops in Nicarauga, that's a mandate to impeach and remove Reagan, but if Obama does it in Libya, its "not in the same universe".
