No.  Pre vaccine, for the most part the most sick/hospitalized were poor “essential workers,” generally minorities and this was widely discussed.  I’m not sure who the most sick now are, but I’ll admit that the focus seems to be on the (largely Republican) unvaccinated population that now regrets not getting the vax.  I’m sure there are also minorities among the current sick too, but we haven’t heard as much about them as last year.

Huh?  As already discussed, I’m not denying that blacks have a low vaccination rate.  But many White Republican areas are even lower.  Thanks to HT for helping prove my point that blacks in NYC have a higher vax rate than white Republican counties.

And I don’t see what’s wrong with Harris’s statement.  She said she’d take it if doctors said it was safe.

Lol you were the one that literally said “the Bronx probably has the lowest rate in the country” (bolding mine).  So are you going to admit you were wrong?  They’re not even close to the lowest just in NY.

But I agree, we shouldn’t focus on %’s.  There are many more unvaccinated whites in the country than unvaccinated blacks.  If we want to increase our total # of people vaccinated, we should focus on the unvaccinated white people.

I was never officially diagnosed with Covid, but I'm pretty sure I had it. This was back in Jan., 2020 - well before this thing really got out of hand, well before masks, well before kids were not going to school, well before shutdowns..... I had a nasty cough/nasal congestion/drainage, and headaches for a month. The 3rd week in I lost my sense of taste/smell for 5 days. 

1. I would think anyone with Covid can spread it. If you have it, you could potentially spread it. 

2. I would be the same as you. If I had it, I could spread it.

For deaths yes, but news stories never cared about their race or political party since it probably effected all old people equally for the most part (maybe slightly more white people since they tend to live longer and be able to afford nursing homes).  But of younger (under 50ish) people, minorities tended to be more impacted.

There was a dem running for senate in NC that said he’d be hesitant to take it though.  He lost (probably also partly due to his cheating scandal with the wife of an army veteran).
