I get a kick out of the self proclaimed draft guru's (one in particular on this board) who dismiss any preseason activity but start drafting in leagues before we set the clocks ahead an hour. Paradox indeed.

Ignore the derisive comments and trust your research. Anyone who says with confidence what Belichick has planned shouldn't be taken seriously.

I don’t think so, I think both will be if CEH does miss time, not saying he will.

But of the two of them based on the current K C system I think it fits McKinnon perfectly.

Not saying he’s better of the two of them, but his game best reflects the system KC runs.

well, some would argue its a bigger challenge drafting now.  predicting based on your own knowledge what roster and lineup decisions a team will make.

either way,  you draft with the best knowledge available at the time.   some do it to find out what the trends are at the draft table.  I take no issue with it.

the key is knowing what to take away and knowing what to ignore.

lots of stuff will happen between now and the kickoff in week 1  some info you get will be helpful, some not so much.    kinda comes with the territory.

I just recommend verifying sources when you can and try to get the most up to date info on everything you can prior to the time you draft (whenever that happens to be)

I dont think this is bad advice for anyone.     good luck to you sir.

Darwin Thompson showed out well too last night... having a great camp. Which really complicates things. I remember I thought I was so smart grabbing him off waivers last year.

McKinnon, according to ex 49er teammates, looked quicker than he when in SF.

He’s going to be a late round ppr flex option if either CEH or Williams get banged up

D Thompson as showed the ability to not be able to be a reliable asset over the past.

I would target McKinnon before Thompson or Williams.

Is there some kind of mega mvp Mahomes can get? I projected him for MVP numbers but that might be too low.

Clyde should be fine close to the start of the season. Unless the prognosis takes a bad luck turn of course, but it’s not a big deal yet until it is.

I liken ankle injuries to hamstring injuries. It's not apples to apples but the tendency to re-aggravate these types of injuries is always there. It could be a "minor" ankle injury that could literally linger all season.

You clearly missed the sarcasm directed at a certain individual. I'll bet he didn't.

and you missed the reference about knowing what to take away and knowing what to Ignore.   wasting your time getting into fights with posters takes you away from your goal of learning so you can draft the best team you can.

better to ignore and move on if you dont agree.  your time  is valuable.  dont waste it.

Friday night they said that they would have to have the doctors/specialists or whatever look at it the following day.  Here it is Monday late afternoon and we have no info on this?  Is it mild like grade 1 or is it like the Michael Thomas inside ankle sprain that plagued him all last year??

Latest is he returned to practice today and someone said he was a full participant in the part open to media.

Yeah you're correct. Just get tired of people getting away with being rude and obnoxious. Just get frustrated with bullies.

sometimes you can agree to disagree and call it a day.

if everyone agreed on the value of a player drafts would be a whole lot easier.

I have a saying and at times you have to live by this:

In Fantasy Football, sometimes you need to assume that you are right and everyone else is wrong.

nothing wrong with disagreements.  that's what makes the sport interesting.

I will also say, I use stats a lot.  but there are also times when you see a player, he passes the eye test, and you have to throw stats out the window.  Especially when that player is in a new situation.

Guaranteed, every person on this board will be wrong about some predictions this year.  sometimes that will be due to injury, sometimes because the player just doesnt perform.  Sometimes its due to a reason none of us will ever find out. (maybe player A has a drinking/drug problem that nobody knows about)

we sometimes forget the human side of the sport.   Tom Brady was drafted 199th overall in his draft year.   Each team in the NFL passed him up at least 5-6 times before the Pats stepped up to the plate and said, We like him, we will take him.

think about that.

and these are people who are supposed to know more than all of us.    so have fun in the discussions.  no need to get angry.

Even the so called arrogant ones do have some good and valid things to say (even if you dont like the way they say it)

once again, your job is to figure out which info is good and which info is not.   I verify sources when I can.   and if someone comes in and just says Player A is Crap.   that doesnt really tell me much.   why are they crap?   sometimes the player has talent, but the scheme does not take advantage of their strengths.

for example:  a couple years back when the Titans picked up Tannehill to be their backup QB.  I came on here and told everyone he will be starting by midseason.   some laughed at me and sent me emails telling  me I dont know what I'm talking about   but some believed me too.     The ones who laughed at me arent laughing now.

granted I was right on this one, but I've been wrong before plenty of times.  I have my opinions.  but I often will backup my opinions with stats when I can (when it is relevant)

and when someone tells me something about a player, It is my hope that they do a little bit of legwork to show why they believe what they believe.   those posters (in my opinion) have more credibility because they at least are showing you something that you can hopefully get something to take away.

there are some who will post results of their drafts on here.  some here seem to really like to pick it apart (likely because hes a bit of an arrogant guy) but I find the info to be at least moderately useful.   dude went out and did some legwork to give you guys a report on how his draft went.  You dont have to like the way he presents it, but if you feel the draft is a fair estimate of the way your draft is going to go, you should pay attention to the results.

haha if you dont like the way he presents the info, just dont engage him.  read, take what you can from the post, and move on.

If you are in agreement with Axe Elf, this is very likely the case.

ouch.  I guess thats why we dont put that much stock in media reports.   They may have said he was having a great camp, but the coaches/GM felt otherwise
