The word 'need' is being used subjectively.

The Fed may not have to raise rates again…they may have hit the soft landing they were trying to achieve. This group (and others) are publicly betting against a recession.  This is good news.

But wait, masks are coming back. Fauci says so. Are busineses and schools gonna close  down again or do we just need to put a piece of paper over our faces and all problems solved?

I have no idea what you are talking about or what point you are making.

I didn't expect you to understand anything about the factors that play into the economy.

What does your ramblings about masks have to do with these bankers predictions of recession?

What DO your ramblings about masks and possible shutdowns have to do with this topic?

You do realize, the shutdowns follow mask mandates. I think there is precedence.

Wow. Stay with me don’t start the weird repeating shtick again.

The article I posted was about GS public predictions. If they think we are seriously going to shutdown again they would revise. They don’t seem to be worried.

Personally I wouldn’t worry either. Things would have to get very, very bad. That would be terrible news.

Then don't click on the link. :dunno:

It is literally that easy.

It’s coming, no doubt.  My company is already planning for it.

My friends father works for the teachers union. Said they are closing schools all over the country. He knows at least five different union representatives of five different ones. Said it’s not pretty. He says Congress made the rules in effect to allow companies to not use labor as an asset like property ,which is one of their biggest tax write offs. Companies are going to begin and already have started terminating employees and then hir them back as private contractors, which makes them an asset.

Funny thing about this strategy is companies pay them more in salary so they get health insurance when they rehire them to do the same job as a private contractor. Eco t 101 today.

Edit…I forgot to that Wall Street is the driving force to muscle large companies with a lot of shareholders to do so. They begin to feel more comfortable.

The point is this is good news. Haters seem to want a recession.

I mean, he predicted that Anericans needed to "buckle up" in the debt crisis thread he started on April 24th.

Also, are people allowed to predict what the various debt ceiling legislation might or might not achieve?  Or does he hate those predictions too?

How bout this thread about the Florida 6-week aboriton ban?  He is clearly predicting the GOP will lose all national elections after this AND is fielding predictions from the forum.

I suppose he is only sick of predictions when the likely popular opinion is against the democrats.

Some of my predictions are right. Some of them turn out badly.

But I’ve never predicted a nuclear war.

Also buy Bitcoin.

This was very good advice.
