Voltaire 5,522 Posted May 22, 2022 Bunny is your plan that once 24.8 is in the books, we've cleared all our years and categories in the first 24, we do an auction draft for three more wildcard selections?
Voltaire 5,522 Posted May 22, 2022 I think we’d need unanimous consent for a 3 spot wildcard round when we’re done. It looks like Bunny has myself and 5 Stars on board. I think if any of the other five vetoes the idea, we can’t go through since they didn’t sign up for that.

I was thinking that after it’s all said and done and we vote on the winner, and crown him, we have an auction draft using ONLY movies that were drafted in our original draft. We have to go by our list that you, so masterfully documented, and use only it. 3-5 rounds using the auction format, and a set amount of money to purchase and select a team. No years or categories, just what what is on our board. Someone makes a pick and we all bid on it if you want it. If you are not interested in the pick presented, say you are out. That pick goes to the highest bidder that is in. Once you are out, you can’t get back in for that pick. You can’t exceed the amount allotted. It’s not going to be easy, but I think we can do it. Three rounds with a bank of fifty or seventy five dollars. Eight teams. We’ll figure a draft order, which doesn’t mean much in an auction draft. First pick throws out a movie and bidding begins. Same as 2-8. It serpentines back. And then one more round if we do three rounds. Vote is open when we finish all three rounds. Suggestions to modify are very welcome. Just a thought. I’ve had a lot of fun being a part of this.

Three seems like it's way too shallow, it should go at least ten deep with our six major categories and four wildcards. And ten is low end, minimum. Probably more like 16 2x6+4. It's been a long time since I've done an auction draft. ---- When you said "three", I thought you meant expanding this draft 3-4 more spots, adding 24-32 more movies in total, to be completed with an auction format. I thought that was a great idea since I'm still pumped and not feeling like I want it to end in a few rounds, but rather an encore.

In truth, I'd long felt you'd screwed up putting Highlander there - I mean your prerogative- but personally, I like this a lot better. Highlander seemed more magical than Sci Fi, but it's definitely action.
