I'd probably prefer the woman with kids, and I'll fully admit that's prejudice, but it is.  There is no reason to think Billy Joe would be any threat to my kids, right?

We had this same problem with blacks 50 years ago.  2 people, everything equal, hire the white or the black?  Most people took the white, because they were uncomfortable with the black and had stereotypes like they would be lazy, or dumb, or leave watermelon juice everywhere.  We've come a long way on that.
