Kickers

Recommended Posts

Any big surprises thus far?

I just picked up Riley Patterson in one league.  Top 4 or 5 kicker so far this year and about 1% owned.

Has only missed 1 FG this year.  Had been cut by the Lions but only missed 1 FG in the time he played last year too.

Jags offense seems decent, mostly good weather for home games, playoff schedule appears decent as well.

That there is a thread about kickers is a surprise.

Thanks.

My league kickers can get big points for FGs over 40 and 50 yards.

I have Succop who is 6 of 6 on FGs of 40-49 yards. Two each game. Those are worth 7 pts each. So he's been excellent for me so far.

I have found with kickers, the best thing to do is ride the wave. Go with the hot hand, or foot. Don't get too attached to them. I have kept a kicker on bye week before but I wouldn't advise it.

The past decade or so, there's really only been about 4-5 kickers who were worth hanging onto. Justin Tucker, Dan Bailey, Adam Vinatieri, Stephen Gostkowski, and Sebastien Janikowski.

It's not worth putting a whole lot of time into kickers, but shouldn't ignore them either.

I'm bullish on rookie kicker Cade York(Clev) this year. He's off to a decent start with 7 of 8 PAT'S and 6 of 6 FG's. Early he had a 58 yd. FG. This dude has a.cannon for a leg and I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have at least 1 to 2 FG's of 60yds. +. I'm sure is gonna give him opportunities of multiple 50+ yd.FG with a shot.at.some 60+ yd. FG. Hopefully those opportunities will come before bad weather hits. So, I.say keep an eye on this guy and get rewarded with some long FG'sif your league give extra scoring for the long ones.

I streamed my way into Younghoe Koo in both of my leagues that use Kickers--and since he's #1 right now, I'll probably just stick with him for a while.

And not to hijack the thread, but I streamed my way into the Eagles' D in both of those leagues too--and since they're #4 right now after throttling the formerly productive passing offenses of the Vikings and Commanders, I'll probably just stick with them for a while.

Same for my league. That's the reason I've used Brandon M. all year. But with the Broncos being so anemic on offense, he only has 2 extra pts.

Keep an eye on Cade York. He's at #7 right now but he's gonna move up as the season progresses. A couple of 60 yards will bounce him wayup. I also like Younhoe Koo to keep staying high in the rankings.

He’s only like 12 in my leagues.   Missed 2 PAT’s so far and bad weather potential later in the season…I’ll pass

Eagles D are a bad call this week.

Butker kicked in practice Wed. and looked good from a report.  He was out Thursday though.  I'm hoping he's ready Sunday because I need a Kicker (dropped Lutz).  My 2nd choice is Maher.

This week will go a long way towards showing if the jags are for real.

How’s the weather looking for the game?  Could also impact Patterson…

Definitely something to watch, but I think the storm will be out of the area by Sunday.

We get 5 points in one of my leagues for +50 fgs. McPherson.

Well Patterson disappointed last week, but didn’t even attempt any field goals.  Hopefully he bounces back this week

You know you're a bad ass kicker if you end up on the IR. Remember Martin Grammatica? That dude was a warrior.
