Don Lemon says CNN was never 'liberal,'

The liberals here just call themselves moderates but it doesn't change much in how dumb they look. So...who knows?

Don Lemon attempted to dispel the notion that CNN was ever "liberal" as his new boss Chris Licht attempts to rescue the struggling network. 

On Monday, "The Late Show" Stephen Colbert asked Lemon about Licht, who previously served as the executive producer of the CBS late-night program before being tapped as CNN's CEO following the ousting of Jeff Zucker earlier this year. 

"Word on the street is that you guys aren't allowed to be liberal anymore. Is that the case?" Colbert asked. 

"I don't think we ever were liberal," Lemon responded.

I will say tho, in a way he has a point about the liberal thing, but not for why he thinks.  "Liberal" in the classical sense means free speech and open debate of difficult topics.  A liberal arts education was intended to teach you HOW to think.  Groups like the ACLU used to protect your right to say darn near anything besides "fire" in a crowded theater.

Now we have "Leftism," not liberalism, which teaches you WHAT to think, and that "what" is the orthodoxy du jour.  It is why the democrats are losing people like Joe Rogan, Bill Maher, Matt Taibi, etc.  It is why I am careful to use Leftist vs. Liberal when discussing the borg policies being pushed on us.

They could never mimick "The Five".  CNN, like "The View", would put up a "Republican" who always agrees with Democrats.  That's NOT what "The Five" does.
