It's not March Madness if we aren't being force fed women's basketball

It is sad that people only care if there is someone that is attractive...

Women's basketball is less than entertaining so yes, let's see what we're working with.

Maybe to you, but I find women's basketball just as entertaining as the men's game, if not more...

The tournament has been pretty entertaining this year.  The women's final four is going to put up much bigger numbers than the men's this year.  The NBA and WNBA are trash.

I hope you are right, but I doubt that will happen...

Though I can't wait for the women's final four for sure...

It's projected to.  The men don't have any big match ups that people want to watch.  The Iowa/SC is basically a championship before the championship.  It's the matchup people have been hoping for all year.

I'm not knocking anyone, it's just not my thing. To me the Woman's game is very boring.

Most of it is but it has it's moments.  They have some stars that are fun to watch.

Semis tonight @Hawkeye21, they both should be good games...

It's the matchup most people have been hoping for.  It should be a great game but if Iowa can't hit threes they will get crushed.  They're going to need to make like 15 threes.

They might have to hit that many...  I was hoping UConn would have been in the final four again, but an upstart Virginia Tech could be interesting to watch...

It's a great Final Four, that's for sure.

Watching the UConn game on Sunday, the pundits were saying that Jackson, Hawkins, and Sanogo are likely to all be lottery picks this year in the NBA draft.  I decided to look up the draft prospects and none of the 3 are projected to go in the top 20!  Sanogo isn't even projected to go in the first round.  I hope this is true.  Both Jackson and Sanogo are juniors and Hawkins is a sophomore.  If none are projected to go in the lottery, they all may return to UConn.  If that happens, with Karaban & Clingan being a freshmen and a full season (and championship under their belt 😉), they may go undefeated next year.

What a very, very entertaining first half between South Carolina and Iowa…  Couldn’t ask for anything better than this…

And damn LSU was incredible in the fourth quarter…

This should be a helluva fourth quarter…

South Carolina trails after three quarters for the second time this season…

What… A… Game…

For those that wouldn’t watch it because it was women playing, you missed two really damn great games…

Sunday should be a fun one…

I turned it on based on this thread.

Start of the game I saw a missed layup, an air ball, a chick spin directly into a defender and have the ball ripped out.  Then somewhere in there a chick from Iowa made a little mid-range pull up jumper look so laborious that it reminded me what junior varsity high school freshmen look like.

I just shut it off at that point.

Your loss…

But the exact same thing happens in the men’s game that you mentioned…

It absolutely does not happen in the men's game.  I can't remember the last time I saw a player in a men's game airball a wide open jumper or a guy try a spin move and just put the ball straight in the defenders chest.

Right that never happens in the men’s game…

Right.

Didn't I see some video going around a couple of weeks ago of some chick in the tournament air balling free throws?

I gave it a try.  It's not comparable.

I did watch a women's final 4 game a few years ago and I was impressed with a player from Mississippi St.  I want to say her name was Asia or something like that, but she had some good post moves.  I remember betting against them in the championship and winning.

Well, we finally found the 3 people from the GC that watch the WNBA.   Cause there just aren't enough real sports to watch.  Congrats, I guess?

I enjoyed the Iowa win. But only because of the underdog angle and Clark. She plays at a different level.

But 50% of this game was not enjoyable. South Carolina is just a bunch of big oafs. I mean you can play off their guard 10ft and she doesn't even really think about shooting. They get the offensive rebound on 50% of their misses. This game was like watching a lineup of Shaq, Howard, DeAndre Jordan, rodman, and Ben Simmons play against the Utah Jazz without Malone.

LOL, nope...  I don't watch professional basketball, just can't get into the NBA or WNBA...

Right now on the main stations this is what's on TV:

CBS - NWSL Soccer Portland vs KC - I looked this up it's Women's Soccer

NBC - Women's Golf - Amateur

ABC - Bundesliga Soccer - I looked this up - it's German Soccer

Fox: Paid Program, followed by Boy's High School Basketball

I did watch the last few minutes of the women's basketball Iowa vs South Carolina basketball game which was good.

Are you focking kidding me?!  What a joke.

I'm bored today.

I am watching Young Sheldon which is a good show.

Hoping for another great game like the semis were...

Holy hell...  LSU is shooting the lights out...  Looks like they are destined to win the title...  And they did this with Reese on the bench for a quarter and a half...

Some questionable calls both way IMO, but just amazed at the way the Tigers are shooting...

Down 17 with Clark and her three fouls, will be tough for them...

It's definitely different if just for the level of athleticism.   Doesn't mean it can't be as fun or entertaining to watch, it's just different.

That technical on Clark looked like a BS call to me...

Wimmen are irrational.   Irrational people shouldn't ref games.

Also smaller balls make them easier to slide in

Congrats to LSU...  Kim Mulkey is a damn great coach...  Two years ago LSU had nine wins, then Mulkey took over...  Wow...

LSU just put on a spectacular shooting display in this game and certainly deserved it...

However, Angel Reese is definitely not a gracious winner...

My family and I were going nuts. It was one of the greatest games I watched. Today was a tough game though. LSU played great.

You must not watch much men's college basketball.  NBA fans say the same about men's college basketball that you're saying about the women.  I don't really care what anyone else thinks, the women's tournament this year was fun to watch.
