Like I said I was asking another poster if this is a moderate position - people losing it over one of Bud Lights hundreds of random marketing things. I mean this was for March Madness and I didn’t think people talked about it until recently.

In any case I personally think it’s a bit extreme for people to shoot cans of beer, post vids of them pouring out stuff they bought already for attention. 

But of course people can buy or not whatever they want for whatever reason. Bud owns a shitload of beers so make sure you do the research. Some Fox dude was all proud of himself not drinking Bud Light, instead an IPA, he was later told it too was owned by Bud

The moderate take (which is in fact backed by the science), is that the first 2 doses were beneficial for adults over about 30, and boosters were beneficial for those over about 50, however it’s not necessary to push multiple boosters, or really any doses for kids.

I’d agree natural is probably “better,” but it also wanes and was also not very effective against Omicron.  You sound like a retard saying “getting Covid prevented me from getting Covid.”  Natural immunity works…if you survive the first time.  I’m sure you’ll say this is evidence of the vaccine “doing nothing,” but lives were saved because many people did not get infected until after they got vaccinated

0.3% is from.  1.15 million with, at least 975k from.   And that’s including about half the country not being infected until getting the vaccine which prevented deaths.   Thinking the vaccine did not prevent deaths is not a moderate take.  Stop.  I think even cdub admits it was beneficial for old people. 

I forget the exact number but natural immunity is only about 20% effective against Omicron. Your anecdotes are not data.  The “well among people I know” line isn’t a moderate take either.  You don’t think there’s any single person out there that hasn’t been infected at all and has been vaccinated?  

And the vaccine did prevent infections pre-Omicron.   Just because someone gets it at a later date doesn’t mean it didn’t do anything previously.  That’s not how vaccine effectiveness works.  So if and when you ever get Covid again I can say your natural immunity “never stopped a thing,” right?  That’s exactly what you’re saying.   You have other moderate takes, but this ain’t one.

I think you are not aware of them because you didn’t hear about them. AB said they work with hundreds of influencers on TikTok. They use all kinds of musicians whose audiences include young people as spokespersons.

None of those campaigns targeting young people were an issue. 

People can do whatever obviously and it’s all part of branding, marketing etc. I’m just saying this is a huge freakout over an incredibly small campaign. I’d call it an extreme reaction. I’ll guess this will not even be a thing by mid-summer when people need to drink beer on the lake.
