You're right.  They haven't changed it at all.  It ALWAYS tasted like trans.  Probably why I didn't drink it.

Dude- cut the dosage back a little. It's affecting you.

Former AB VP said Bud Light has always had an "identity associated more with Clydesdales, Americana, football and humorous Super Bowl commercials than social justice." That is our identify.  We are not Ben & Jerrys. When you buy Ben & Jerry you are getting more than sugar and cream.   We sell beer, not politics.

The former executive stated, "When you have these large corporations that have a historic brand identity like AB, it just looks inauthentic and fake when they’re all of a sudden getting involved in these social campaigns."

He added that his former company has "lost track of the consumer," by making the trans person one of their spokespeople. Bud Light sales are off 19% since.

I'm curious how many people would have had any idea Bud Light had this marketing campaign if the media didn't make a big deal out of it.  It was never directed towards them so they were never going to see it but then the media found out and blew it up.  The intolerant then did what they always do from there.

It’s never, ever coming back to what it once was. It’s not going away, but it is diminished. Anyone saying different is fooling themselves. It’s a product that’s way too easy to walk away from. It’s not like Disney, where kids are asking parents to take them to the movie or the park.  Disney can rebound to where they were.  Bud Light will not.

Yes, only because of Social Media but that's exactly what it was designed for, to rock the boat. The marketing biatch said as much.

I think the dopey Harvard grad marketing genius that came up with this stunt really inflamed it with her stupid comments.  She told their customers they wanted to get away from them. Brilliant. If she kept her mouth shut this would have been flavor of the week.  I saw her video  and saw more comments about that than the tranny can.

I agree. I can speak for South Carolina. Being in the Bible Belt locally owned stores are not even carrying Bud products and that's fine, they'll find another distributor and or local breweries. It won't affect the stores bottom line at all.

She said she wanted to get away from a demographic. They made it easy for her.

You don't need to.  Why do you care if others do?

Yeah. I just don’t like it that some guy with a route is getting focked by this.

Why would you market to anyone not in your market? It made no sense to begin with. Do you think Tranny's were going to put down their white claws to drink Bud Light because of some ridiculous marketing campaign that went sideways??

I do think it was going to help.  Maybe not a lot but people tend to support companies that support them.

Because they are the foundation upon which nipples reside.

Yesterday I visited my local Home Depot.  They had a feather boa in rainbow color festooned along the only open checkout lane (the self serves were closed).  The cashier had on a tie dye rainbox colored apron instead of the traditional Home Depot orange.  I wondered if that is the starft of some nation-wide ad campaign or just a local promotion.

Were you literally shaking?

Alcohol and politics have always been mixed.  Remember when Obama brewed his own beer in the White House?  James Madison is said to have wanted to appoint a Secretary of Beer.

People make decisions on who/what they support based on alignment with their beliefs every day.

It's dumb to you. Not others.

Some people think Joe Biden is a good President. Should we support him just because?

Nope.  I merely noted the matter in light of recent national discussions.

I support much of the community which rallies under the rainbow flag.

The people who drink it think it is.  The same as people who drink Busch Light, Coors Light, Miller Lite and Michelobe Ultra.

Sure. Would you agree or disagree that bud light has a huge marketing budget?

I drink Miller Lite. And guess what? They had rainbow cans one time. It was all they had left. I bought them. I don’t think I would now though.  The lesbians and gays need to get their own flag.  I’ve decided to reject the tranny pushing, on GP.

Of course they do.  All the beer companies do.  I don't know what it's like where the rest of you live but here in the Midwest we drink a ton of beer.  We have more bars than grocery stores.  People love their beer and are very loyal to it.  Most people drink what they grew up with.  They drink what their parents drank.  In my area, everyone drinks Bush Light.  It's the beer that I grew up with drinking in high school.  My friends prefer drinking it over Bud Light.

Around here, real men drink beer like Busch Light and Coors Light.  I don't agree with it but I hear it all the time.  I prefer craft beer myself but I will drink Bush Light when it's an all day event.

Bud Light didn't get to be the number one beer in America based on marketing, it's because Inbev controls most of the distributors, so it's sold the most places.  It's really because inbev controls the market.

Then why the huge marketing budget ? Why spend millions and millions on commercial? And I believe bud and bud light were number one before they were sold to InBev. Or close to it.

Are there many craft breweries by you?  Here in NJ there is one every few towns.  College kids don't drink much beer either around here, it's hard seltzers or Jungle Juice.  Also Yeunling is the number one cheap beer around here.

It's all part of the sales strategy.  Own the distributors to limit choice, market to reinforce the choice that consumers are forced to make to create loyalty for when there is choice.

And yes AB did this before the merger.

There's a pretty good amount now.  I think there are 7 in a 30 mile radius of me right now.  There is a brewery in my town and I'm there about once or twice a week.

That's your red herring because no media marketing campaign sets out to do that.

What if the marketing wouldn't have been marketed so much!?!?!

Tell me you don't know how social media works.   And stop with the stupid game of 20 questions.  It's like we have to explain why water is wet every day to you idiots.  But, here it goes:

It wouldn't be called "social" media if media were limited to a single persons account.  Why did they choose Mulvaney - because he's one of the most popular fagggots out there with 10 million followers on tic tok alone.  The campaign plan included the fact that it would get reposted and shared across the platforms.  It relied on it. They even had a contest to win 15K where other people re-posted pictures of themselves with beer like Mulvaney.  THAT'S HOW SOCIAL MEDIA WORKS.  And there is no magic button to push that says only people that would agree with the tranny movement can participate.  It was a calculated error that social media, and society in general would weigh Mulvaney as a net positive.  The verdict is in and we don't.  That error is why the marketing director that made the decision got canned.

So to answer your question, yes I found out about it from a social media post that resulted directly from this marketing campaign, the one in the first post of this thread.
