Inflation was going down under Biden, now it’s going back up

Recommended Posts

Never been happier with someone I voted for. He is exceeding expectations.  Blown away.

Told you so, idiots.

Maybe your parents will give you a couple bucks for gas if you ask nicely and eat all your peas.

That was CNBC they are financial focused website so they highlighted the stock market. That is standard language for market talk. It happens regularly.

Again, the important issue isn’t the reaction of stock market day to day it was that inflation is ticking back up. I can post another article that doesn’t highlight the stock market reaction if you like with the same information regarding inflation indicators.

How about...oh i dont know, try thinking for yourself?  My goodness its frightening that i have to say this.

Check out liberals being so keenly aware and wary of inflation.   What changed? 🧐

They were complaining week 1 of Trump's term about inflation. They don't even try to hide their tactics of simply attacking with no basis of reality behind them.

Don't get me wrong.  I am delighted.  I mean, for four years they were oblivious, to the point of outright denial.....so this is rather refreshing to see them actually give two focks about inflation and how it can harm.

For focks sake. That’s what the numbers in the article for. That is that inflation indicators are pointing up..

If you go back and read it was another poster who removed any context from that article except for the market’s short term reaction (which they were wrong about).

In the liberals eyes, all the crap biden caused is now Trump's fault. It's just how they were trained to think and act. :dunno:

Im still curious why you said "tumbling" when the premarket was down 1%. Now about a half percent.  1% isnt tumbling by any reasonable persons definition.

Your answer was basically "thats what the media said"

And fock if that isnt just the dumbest answer ever and a clear sign you, and others, wholly rely on the media to tell you what to think

We are now in the Trump presidency. What is he doing to addresses things and how he reacts.

I don’t say tumbling, that was the article. They use this language everyday to describe market movements.

How many times do I have to repeat that the inflation data is the important part here?

He's been in the job less than a month.  This line of attack isn't making you look good.

It’s not an attack, it’s talking about what is happening and how he and our government react.

This is just so sad.   Stop now please.  Youve demonstrated how youre manipulated by the media.  You dont need to keep going

You have chosen this. It wasn’t me. I never focused on the market reaction to this you did as I have said repeatedly to you and you keep ignoring it for some odd reason.

So again, inflation indicators pointing upwards is the discussion and how the Prez, the Fed, etc react.

I don’t think it’s too early to hold Trump responsible for inflation because of the specific reasons I brought up earlier: tariffs, the persecution of undocumented immigrants, and the weakening of our means to combat the avian flu.

Some of us have, others have tried to ignore it, minimize it or otherwise pretend it away.   Most of us who were lamenting its presence were mocked.  But its all good.  At least now we have a President who apparently can see it......which means we have the potential to deal with it.....and that is a marked improvement in and of itself.

Not on board with this.   For years when I noted the problem, this was the response I would get from our liberal friends....to mock my concern. So lets resist doing what they did, do not become the thing you oppose.

Good grief. Here’s another article for you. If you see “stock market” please skip over that part so you don’t shet your pants

U.S. inflation rose to 3 percent in January, strengthening the case for the Federal Reserve to extend a pause on interest rate cuts.

The Consumer Price Index jumped more than expected, data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed on Wednesday, rising 0.5 percent from December in what was the fastest monthly increase since August 2023. Last month, the annual pace was 2.9 percent.

“Core” C.P.I., which more closely reflects underlying inflation by removing volatile food and energy prices, also showed little improvement. It rose 0.4 percent from December or 3.3 percent on a year-over-year basis, both higher than economists expected. The monthly increase in core prices was the highest since April 2023.

So these new inflation numbers that you and the spice girls are all bellowing about, what period do they cover? The last three weeks?

I’m not paying attention to any specific number. Prices are going up.

It has been discussed over hundreds of threads. It was correctly the most importantly topic of the election. You are kidding yourself if you think Trump admin is going to take any blame ever or not have moments that people latch onto like the infamous “transitory” line. People now being critical, discussing etc the moves made is normal.

So Biden did NOTHING to help America and prices on everything went up. I paid more for 2 years, maybe more.

Trump is fixing the gubment. I will happily pay more for 6 months, even longer.

This is funny. So, the inflation numbers are  from before Trump took office.  Trump! Gonna blame him for the cocaine in the White House too?

And it was Trump who used his mind power to keep making Biden fall down on stage, going up stairs, sitting on his bike etc.
