My retirement models were based on big city spending. And didn't include things like SS. Very conservative.  Spending $1000 a month on groceries instead of $1700 just adds on another European vacation every year.  The difference in property tax, a trip to Tahiti.  That's traveling for enjoyment.   But like you said to each their own.

I love all those places….and like living in the city.

Traveling for work means the hotels and flights are covered (prefer Hawaii to Tahiti) so the vacations are better than I could ever hope for. I consider myself very lucky. I hope everyone does. The world needs less miserable cuntheads.

Growth is sub zero. Recession is looming, the banker cunnts have upped their guesstimates to better than 50/50. Things arent terrible but they certainly are a bit shaky at the moment.
