This scoring keeps up and I’m likely to get drunk this weekend and give the USGA a piece of my mind through tweets

The only defense will be wind.  Is there any in the forecast?

edit, light winds.  Gonna need -20 to win.

I don't know. Its cool because its primetime, but California US Opens are the worst. Pebble sucks and this place sucks. They could trick out Spyglass and that might be okay, but they never would.

Played Torrey.  The wind is the only defense there too.

I just looked at future venues. Pebble is every 5 years from now until long after I''m dead and gone.:wall:

US Open 2024 is at Pinehurst No.2.  An hour south of me, I’ve played there and know people.

EdEx LIVE draft on Wednesday, I’ll book a house. It will not be cheap but YOLO.  Let me know. Thursday and Friday passes.

I would be down for that. Come a little early and we can all play a couple rounds. 18 holes wed morning, and a draft that night? fock yes

I'm serious, planning on going anyway....places to stay, passes, tee times around that time go fast though.  I know its a year away but just saying, its the US Open.  There are 30 other dynamite golf courses in and around Pinehurst, NC.  To be honest No. 8 is my favorite of them all.  Pine Needles and Mid Pines are glorious.

Eh. A good strategy is to finish last, then pick first (Scheffler ) and hope to pair him with another top 5.

You think the USGA is angry or did this intentionally to push their nerfed ball plans?

probably +2

need one of my afternoon guys to have a good round to make the cut so I don't have to lament taking Reed over Windy... i mean i'll still lament it but, ya know

Jesus, not impressed by this course.  A 299 YD PAR 3 does not an open make.

It's really just the width of the fairways. Too easy for these guys to hit, who already bomb it. Fairways are often half this wide. I think that would have it feeling more like a true US Open.

If Rickie wins does he become a first round pick for the Open next month?

Me too, but it will take balls to make him your number one.  You want that first one to be a guarantee.

If the cut goes back to +1 (don’t think it will) I’ll be a trunk-slammer

Spreadsheet is now updated.  Everyone made the cut, no one had all 6 golfers through to the weekend.

Bring on moving day, lets see if anyone can narrow the gap to edgar.
