The issue is more than having docs. Not sure why TB doesn’t get this.

Conspiracy was a film that most people have never seen. Hannah Arendt wrote a book about the "banality of evil" and this film is really a test case of that theory. 

As Colin Firth points out, government persecution has a real logistical and bureaucratic pathway, and the consequences have potential massive ripple effects long into history, not just current public policy and public administration. 

It's not enough of a real legal defense for Donald Trump to say, "Everyone does it"

What instructors teach cadets at the California Highway Patrol about vehicle stops is right when someone says, "Everyone speeds, everyone does it, why am I being singled out to get a ticket?" is to say "But you are the one I pulled over" 

But is not unlike Harry Reid being warned by Mitch McConnell no less, that nuking the judicial filibuster would have long lasting and unpredictable consequences. 

The DNC, Team Blue HQ and the Obama/Biden/Tanden regime can do this, and there is a legal pathway, and Trump put himself in the jackpot here, but are they prepared for the long term fallout? 

This is an ugly precedent. While it might have a basis in a real case with real legal teeth, the root are built upon pure political persecution. That Donald Trump is despised as a specific individual does not wash away the reality that he is a general issue American citizen at the core of the law. 

Is the DNC prepared to have endless bureaucratic and logistical fights over minutiae, splitting hairs and "process crimes" ( I'm not saying any of this exonerates Trump, I'm saying the slippery slope is very very ugly for the entire country ) 

NEARLY EVERYONE all over the world in high level politics violates some kind of practical OpSec. I'm not saying they should do it. I'm not defending one person over another. But this is going to get very expensive from a time, management and legal perspective for trying to pick off one person. 

The Espionage Act was NOT built for this, not by intent. I have yet to see even just one leftist here even openly acknowledge that. I have yet to see even just one leftist point out that the political persecution aspect of all this is completely indefensible and is bad for our entire nation as a whole. 

If Trump gets a fair trial just for the law, and he is guilty and found as such, he should go to prison. The law is the law. But the gross and egregious removal of all practical context by many here is totally unsettling. Some of you might hate Trump, but you probably love your children. The persecution of Trump, even if you hate him, doesn't built a better world for your kids. The "cure" can't be worse than the disease itself.
