Sound of freedom posting spilled into the Barbie thread where it should die, but wanted to share this here, in case anyone is interested.

This is a right wing account and podcast.  I started the first EP last night but fell asleep, interesting stuff.  The more we learn about this the more interesting it gets.

Exactly, the point needed to be made multiple times because people like HT can't understand simple concepts.  

Also, what seems to be the case on this movie is that the "based on" portion of the story is already based on things that didn't happen.   It's based on Ballard's version of the incident, which doesn't seem to line up with reality in the first place.

Let me know if this is incorrect.  This guy has admitted to watching thousands of hours of child porn (for research purposes) and then is caught making up stories of what he's done?  I'm starting to think this guy found himself a loophole to get away with being a pedophile.

And now he steps down from an organization right when they are getting a ton of attention and possible money.   Also seems to be odd timing- leave as your message is getting out and you achieve a goal like that? 

If you listen to podcasts, I'd recommend giving the one referenced above a listen.  The episodes I listened to at work were titled "The Sound of Fabrication".

Not sure how true this is, but it's been talked about.  Allegedly, Ballard's entire plan was to funnel all the money from his lies to the church.  Wouldn't shock me.

From my brief listening and reading about him and the situation it feels like the best possible interpretation of his actions is similar to Brian Williams - adding himself into the action and lying about his involvement.    But it really feels worse than that as they are peddling and selling the necklaces, framing it as though ticket sales is helping the cause, over embellishing the kidnapping aspect of the trafficking, things like that.  

Just a bizarre story.

But if the pod is correct, kids he claimed to identify right away because of the tapes didn't have their faces exposed and weren't identified until later.   Like I said, some truly odd things in this story and organization.

I don't know if real life Tim Ballard is a genuinely good person or not.  If he were that would be the better outcome, except for lib's feels.

The movie Tim Ballard, and agents in real life who's job it is to get these guys, have to review the evidence.  And as portrayed in the movie, it has real troubling effects on them as you might imagine.

Finally made it through the first episode of "sound of fiction" on the red pilled podcast.  Show is slow and boring, but

Tldr; two conservatives that looked into the story of the movie and learned that the entire story is false.  The boy was not trafficked, he was not kidnapped, he was not rescued, and his sister was never trafficked, and never rescued from Colombia.

The truth is that the boy was molested by the family friend in CA.  The man took the boy to Mexico to see his family and was apprehended coming back to the US.

Going through ep 2 now, dives deeper into the story, but basically Ballard lies about the whole story, used the story to raise millions by selling these dog tags, and the entire movie is a lie.

Again, these are conservatives, and their viewpoint is the respect the truth and they don't like being lied to, and they don't like that conservatives are being grifted by Ballard et al, taking advantage of this culture of kidnapping and grooming that is so pervasive and frequently false.

It gets a tad repetitive, but they effectively hammer their point home.   The response they got from the movie producers sounded like the Geek Club.  

Sounds like the whole basis for the foundation and the core story they used for the movie and to peddle their product is not true.
