It’s over. Your side ruined it. The people you look down on and continually belittle aren’t taking the job anymore.  But hey, we have Admiral Levine.

This doesn’t even make sense

I think it's funny how our board communists think that a politician acting like a b!tch is going to hurt national security.  Too too funny.  They don't even care about the country, why do they care about 300 people getting a promotion?

I just can see some soldiers saying “ I’m not listening to what that Colonel has to say until they make him a General”.  Lol.

Exactly!

You don't see how hard-working active-duty military men and women losing morale because some doosh is holding up their deserved promotions due to his political agenda. Yeah, that kind of thing doesn't poison the waters. And aircraft can't transport tanks, and artillery can't fire cluster munitions. Oh brother.

Why do you care?  You don't even like this country.

Really? Have you seen the recruitment numbers? Generals and the lack of them aren’t the problem. But get your panties in a bunch over this.

There’s a lot of conservatives in the Senate, House and elsewhere who are gravely concerned about Tuberville’s actions and that it’s going to hurt national security. So are the leaders of the Pentagon. I would hardly call any of these folks communists. Are they unjustified in their concerns?

Democrats = Communists, fyi.

Tuberville is being a petty douche, just like his other 536 DC brethren.  This is not a national security issue, it's pure fear mongering over a "title".  Every branch of military has people who are 2nd, 3rd, or 4th in charge.  If someone isn't there as the #1, the person who's #2 is the defacto #1.

Yeah when unemployment is at historic lows I don’t think you’re going to have people signing up to potentially be killed just to get a decent job. So I’m not surprised it’s tough.

However that doesn’t mean sh1thead MAGA losers should be intentionally sabotaging our national defense :dunno:

‘It will take years to recover’ from Tuberville blockade, top Navy nominee says

President Joe Biden’s nominee to be the Navy’s top officer, Adm. Lisa Franchetti, said it could take the service years to recover from the impacts of Sen. Tommy Tuberville‘s blockade of hundreds of senior military promotions.

Franchetti told the Senate Armed Services Committee during her confirmation hearing Thursday that the impasse has created “a lot of uncertainty” for Navy families.

“Just at the three-star level, it would take about three to four months just to move all the people around,” Franchetti said. “But it will take years to recover … from the promotion delays that we would see.”

“The Republicans’ failure to end this blockade makes it clear: they don’t care about our leaders,” she added. “They don’t care about the families who have served their country honorably for decades.”

Unemployment was at historic lows before Biden and there wasn’t a recruitment problem. Try again

Do you approve of a politician holding these up for a political statement?

Yes.  The military and the white house want to play political games, they deserved to be played back.  They are circumventing laws which were passed.  If you don't like a law, change it.  Trying to find tricks so the government can finance abortions contrary to the law should be stopped. The executive branch and its agencies operate as though laws do not apply to them.  It is unfortunate that Congress's only power is the purse strings to try to reign in the corruption.   This is a minor thing compared to most crap that goes on, but it is a start.   Unfortunately it would be better if the actual people doing it was the ones who got punished.

I don’t know if this is a law that is being circumvented per se. Being in the military and placed in a state where a law is then changed such as access to abortion is a unique situation that is worthy of a review. Added that there are immediate timelines that come into play with this.

I do agree that it would be fair to allow some legislative process to work through Congress and then address from there if needed. I think that would also be smart politics as well.

When I was stationed in NC they changed the law and raised the drinking age. I had to live with it. So I couldn’t drink. Don’t get pregnant if the law was changed where you’re stationed. Or make your own way to a state where it’s legal. Like I did.
