Mike Honcho 5,096 Posted October 3, 2023 Makes sense - much ancient mathematically complex construction predates Pythagoras.

IMHO, it's becoming more and more clear that that our current conception of "human civilization" is simply the latest iteration of what might have been countless versions that have come and gone throughout Earth's history. There could have been several very "advanced", in a relative sense, societies and governments before, but they were wiped out for one reason or another. What we all conceive of as "known history" is also, at some point, a best guess when it goes beyond a certain point. The game changer would be if it was revealed that there are pyramids in Arctic regions. Because there is no way that our conception of previous generations could have built those on their own. It doesn't add up sometimes. The paper thin explanations trying to play a match game to solve the clearly unexplained with what is seen as "conventional history" I'm open to the idea that we just don't know and it's OK not to know. But not to immediately dismiss the potential of something being revealed that could change the entire world. Part of this comes from human hubris, the idea that we need to be the center of everything, when the truth is, given the scope of the universe around us, we are very tiny and very insignificant. MTSkiBum 1,620 Posted October 3, 2023 So much about what we know of history is not true. Many people are credited with discoveries or inventions that they did not invent. Thomas Edison did not invent the lightbulb, henry ford did not invent the assembly line, etc, etc

I was taught that over 200 people world wide were trying to perfect the lightbulb and the Edison lightbulb was superior to all of them. He used a tungsten filament inside a vacuum. Some of his lightbulbs are still burning today. The first lightbulb burned out in seconds
JustinCharge 2,397 Posted October 3, 2023 history is written by the winners. 100 years from now china might be the big winner and they will teach that the light bulb was invented by Xi.
